Does the Ottawa visa office provide helpful information in their emailed replies? What types of information have they actually given to you?

How do you know "your background check is in progress" ? Does it say in your Gckey account?
Or your ECAS is in process?
Or is there any other way to check that?

I know my background check is in progress because that's the status in my GCKey account, as of the last update on May 26, 2017. Also, ECAS states this: "We started processing your application on May 10, 2017."

I ask them if my background check has been started and they give me an answer along the lines of

"Your application is being processed by our office in regulatory time"

They never answer the question I ask

No. he has his appointment for his visa July 4.

I check March spreadsheet on daily basis, no one has been asked for passport??? Or the sheet doesn't get updated?

we have been asked for our passport on June 13, he has an appointment to present it at the embassy in Cuba on July 4.

No idea. NDVO started processing my application on 17May2017. Since then no update.

NO Sch A PCC request

which email ID you sent the documents? how did you get that email id?

I just used the tricks on this forum. I sent it to the Mississauga email and the "report a technical problem". Basically I sent it to any email address I could find and then mailed hard copies.

After 3 months of waiting, they just send me the e-mail today asking me to send the schedule A and PCC online, i just did it. Should i send them also by MAIL ? is it going to fasten my application because it's just so slow

I just received a request to pay my right of permanent residence fee (since I didn't pay it up front). My ECAS is in progress as is my background check. Do any of you know at what point applications are at when they ask for the RPRF? Thanks.

If they asked you to send the docs online, it is always better to do as they say. If you want to send your docs via mail, they will sit in a room for weeks as you are not asked to submit anything via mail
