There is no specific answer for this as it is dependent on case to case. Usually, it takes 1-3 months after you get AOR2.

How do you know this?! I've never heard this before.

I've seen former US applicants post about it. The date it shows in ECAS that they started processing your application (third line) is considered AOR2.

Yes, after you receive AOR2 and your medicals are passed, the next step is background check in CIC account.

Since, i had provided my PCC upfront with my application, i only got the request of Schedule A in my CIC account.

When you receive your AOR2, they will request you to provide the PCC if not already provided.

Not sure if that is 100% true. London VO doesn't send AOR2 either (the email) but our ecas still got updated with an additional line "We started processing your application on May 18" < which is also AOR2. So one or the other means AOR2. Look out for that to see if you get either.

I guess your local VO is NDVO. Your next step is the file transfer from CPC Mississauga to NDVO. After NDVO receives your file, they will send you an AOR (this is AOR2). NDVO usually sends AOR2.
