out of curiousity, why are ghanna , syria and philipiness cases expedited? political reasons?
Ghana is not lol , I was thinking Philippians are giving priority or something . So many if them and they get through easy it seem. It took us close to 40 days for Ghana . Have you seen any Ghana threads that seem to be expedited ?

I know that Philippines applicants that were victims of Yolanda are expedited but that's the only case I've heard of.

They shouldn't be, it's past the processing time, not even a lousy AOR. I'm the one who should be annoyed.

Hi all - Positive update from me! My wife received SA in the post today.

Nothing showing up in ECAS yet, but here are the timelines from the letter:

Letter dated: 30th April
Letter postmarked: 1st May
Letter received: 5th May

They received my application on 24th March.

I have no idea why they didn't use email as her address was on the form.

...and in case you are wondering, we live in Toronto so the letter didn't have to come very far!

Showing in ECAS now:

We received your application to sponsor ... on March 24, 2014.

We started processing your application on April 30, 2014.

We sent you a letter on April 30, 2014 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Please someone answer this question. Is it safe to assume that if you get a sponsorship approval email, it means all your paperwork was in order ..meaning nothing is missing..or do they send those notices out later?

From what I understand it means you sent all the required forms from the checklist. If you sent an incomplete application they wouldn't have gave you SA. That doesn't mean the VO office will ask for additional proof later on.

Ok, i can take it easy a little bit for now..hopefully all will go smoothly..thanks for your response.

Yes to a degree, or as I understand, as in our case specifically, no AOR if application is incomplete, and no SA if a problem with sponsor. You have both so next process is to determine the details of the relationship and whether applicant meets the criteria they have in their heads. I say this in response from the email we received stating we are unable to review your application as such and such is missing/incomplete. So we don't have AOR yet i guess. Anyone can correct me if I am wrong.

I noticed there are several of you that are living together in Canada at the moment? Anyone here obtain a TRV for stay in Canada from a visa requirement country? Where an application was made in home country? Just wondering how sucessful you were... If obtain on first try or 2 or 3? We may decide to apply for TRV after SA approval. Appreciate any experiences you have been through.
