thanks guys..so I checked fedex tracking and someone signed for my package at 1030 am..now what?..i know someone slap me cuz i know it doesn't mean they will even get to open it anytime soon,

When someone opens it to start looking through it, you will get an AOR (acknowledgement of receipt). After that you will get SA (sponsorship approval). You might not get an AOR and they will go straight to sending you a SA. The sponsor will get it in an email from CIC if they wrote down an email address to contact them at. If not, they will get a letter in the mail. Expect to wait around a month before hearing anything from them.

Hi, please hear my story. I got married in the Philippines. And my husband is now in Canada and I am here the Philippines. Is it possible that my husband can file a divorce there in Canada even though we got married here?

If yes, will I be notified by the Canadian court about the divorce proceedings? You see I heard a lot of stories to the effect that Filipinos are getting divorce in Canada and got married again in Canada. I heard that the reason this is commonly done it's because divorce is cheaper and easier than having an annulment proceedings in the Philippines.
And here's another thing we had a son.we had undergone our medical examination at a panel physician last january.
I didnt know if my husband filed our application.because last month he just told me he wants to divorce me.
Please I really need an answer about this issue. I hope you can clear my mind on these matters. Thank you very much and more power to you! God bless!

I did some research and found this information that is, I think, credible.
Here's the link: http://www.philippineconsulatela.org/FAQS-MAIN.htm#a3
Look for the last question.
To summarize, if your husband is Filipino, his divorce will not be recognized to the eyes Philippines Law. Even if here gets divorce and remarry in Canada, which I doubt will happen without your consent, his Canadian marriage will be null for Philippines Law and you are still the legitimate spouse.

Sent my application yesterday!
I was told they would have it by 5pm today.. which is in about 10 minutes.

Is there a way to set up auto-refresh on just one tab?
My finger is tired from checking all day :(

The courier probably will not update it right away..you might want to check it later on tonight or tomorrow morning.

Difficult to do when you're desperate to be with the love of your life and you're 1000s of miles apart and everyday without them is absolute torture.

I certainly know how you feel. There are moments when my wife and I feel sadness because we can't gut each other. But we always remind each other the fact that this period is very small compared to the rest of our lives.

O_Guy!! I think, that would be YOU!! who is throwing the party, the thread is yours!! so plan for it...

But, that makes me wonder, since we are on a conveyor belt, we would all reach ca about the same time!!

We can plan to meet up there...
Good Luck everyone

March2014Apply, thanks for sharing your story and welcome to this threat.

So, which one of us is throwing the party when we all get SA?

Application finally sent. Weighed in at 1.4 kg and took almost 3 months to compile.
Now we play the waiting game ......

Hello fellow march applicants! We mailed ours March 21...with Canada post. I am sure its in Mississauga now. Feel nervous, as our signatures on the forms are a bit outdated (november). But I (the sponsor went back to visit my wife in Thailand for Christmas and added more photos, plane tix, etc of that visit. Didn't even think about may e re-doing the forms with updated dates, but just saw someone explain their application was returned cause their dates were out dated...yikes!
