Hey guys got an update here. Was just about to sleep when I decide check my email at 12am. CIC sent me an email saying singapore received my application 4 days ago on May 12. So I guess this is my AOR2 . Im happy after a slow start that Singapore got my application 4 days after SA.

Please update the spreadsheet thanks! Here's hoping to a speedy application!

I was just thinking about how the cic works, and it seems to me, they do have self imposed deadlines, seeing how they have processed many updates to us March applicants, just before the long weekend, and it looks as though not a single April applicant has received any news. Makes me feel a little confident that it was just indeed a crazy surplus of applicants who applied in March.

Would anyone care to share their story on why they submitted in March? For us, it was several reasons, as I knew I was graduating in April and had a trip planned to see my wife here in Thailand in May and wanted to surprise her with some good news about my SA. We actually finished most of our application months ago, but felt more proof would be better... Came here for a month at Christmas, more chat logs, more letters, her premed, her promotion at her job, my status regards to my school studies as well as letter from my boss for from my co-op placement. I was actually hoping for SA the same time I graduated, which would've been a very special day in my life. Now I am getting more and more anxious... But at least am here with her and she has her way of calming me down and lets me know everything will be ok soon.

Oh good for you Mikey! Hope to receive AOR2 too from Manila VO. How many months should we wait then? it sucks!

wow it got there within 4 days? How close is Singapore to Canada , I wonder how long it will take for ours to get to Accra

in my case, i'm the sponsor of my hb. after receving the UCI and SA, i keep check the application status from the web, but it still states that it couldn't find out my information from the system. am i missing sth? what information should i input for checking the status?

UCI: should be the one listed out from the email sent from CIC
Surename: should i use mine? or my hb's surename?
DOB My DOB or my HB's DOB?

it's kinda weird that i could't find out anything from them, for your advice please and thanks.

My husband received an email today with his own UCI # telling him his application was received on 25/3 (the day it arrived in Mississauga) is this is second AOR from our Visa office?

We are from the same VO. I got my AOR on May 06 and able to logon ECAS May 08 (HK time), a little bit earlier than I received my SA. I use the UCI no. with sponsor's surname and DOB. Hope this helps.

one more quick question: once i got SA, does it mean the CIC already trust that i hv intention to reside back to Canada and the hk VO wouldn't bother about my intention? but just concentrate on our relationship is genuine or not?

well we were planning to send it in january or feburary. My dear husband had to do 2 years of taxes in order to get the option c form, which he did in january. neither of us realized it wouldn't be available at the time of him filing, so we had to wait until the end of february for CRA to accept the taxes, then an other week or so until we got the option c form. i was in ottawa visiting, and wanted to mail it before i left, so it ended up in the mail in March.

Koifish - i know how much anxiety not hearing a thing can cause. everything is going to work out!!!!

From what I have gathered from this forum, I think intention to return to Canada is accessed by HKVO. Some ppl got PPR and then also ask to submit more proofs for the intention to return.

I m waiting for HKVO to send me AOR2 but they are relocating this month and will close for 5 days. Dunno if this will delay everythg.

Good luck to those still waiting and hope everyone in March will have SA and AOR2 very soon.

Sounds like it probably is but if you copy and paste the e-mail here someone will be able to tell you forsure.

may i know what is a AOR 2 stand for?is it another confirmation of application received email for the sponsored person?Like my husband sponsors me and he got the mail on apr 9,and I got the same letter from cic(email:Client-update-mise-a-jour@cic.gc.ca) and it gave me another UCI number saying

but my husband's email he got on apr 9 said the sponsorship is approved...thats why im a bit confused.

btw i sent my med record over a mth and i kept checking my status online it's still Decision made for my"sponsorship" and application received for my"PR application"

should cic update it since they got my med record and police cert.?at least update it as"med record received" etc

Because the signature says it is from the Hong Kong Visa Office, I believe that this is a confirmation that Hong Kong has received your application.

Yes I believe that they will eventually update that your meds have been received. Just have to wait.
