Hi guys, I've been reading this thread since it has started. I sent my application last March 5, anyway today April 1 I received two emails. One said this :

...This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).....

and the other one said:

...you have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor..... and the application for pr has been forwarded to a visa office abroad...

I wonder is this the AOR and the SA you're referring to?
If yes, then I got them on the same day.
Thank you guys.

I live in Ontario and my wife lives in the Philippines which is hot country most of the year (expect for typhoon season). I told my wife several times that I'm worried about the fact that she might not like this freezing country, but she always says she will like wherever her husband lives. The biggest reason I want her to try to get visitor visa this summer is so see how beautiful this country is during the summer and not have her first experience of Canada to be -30 degrees weather.

My wife feels the same way that you feel, she doesn't want to get her hopes up and get denied for the visitor visa again. I told her to not get her hopes up and just focus on the sponsorship application, and perhaps consider the attempt to visit me this summer as bonus. We still have not made final decision as to whether to apply or not because she wears her heart on her sleaves.

This is all difficult. But still try to find a reason to laugh and enjoy life.

Hehehe, I have a pic of my wife from a few years ago one late August evening all wrapped up in a scarf and a tocque. She was freezing, it was 14 degrees! We've never visited Canada in the winter, only summer, so I'm worried about Canadian winters. Though to be honest, I haven't done a Canadian winter in 25 years, so I'm worried how we'll both do.

My posted wait time is 16 months which puts us at about next July/august. So hopefully my husband will get to gradually go from summer to winter. If not then.... Oh well. Lol he'll be fine. :-p

Also, unless someone else wants to, I volunteer to admin the spreadsheet. When I get to the office today I'll start unless anyone else has objections. I'll try to keep up just by what people say in the thread but PMing me would mean for sure I get your info.

I added you to the spreadsheet, I just guessed roughly when CIC got your package because you didn't say, but if you know then I can change it. I also have your Visa office blank because I don't know which one you are applying through.

Everyone - I think I figured out everything on the spreadsheet EXCEPT how to change permissions so that I'm the only one who can edit it. lmao. Doesn't matter though, I'm not so picky. I rearranged so that it grouped the visa offices together.

13 days into the month and only 2 people have indicated they submitted spouse sponsorship. Processing the applications of this month should be fast then, right?

Or perhaps the March applicants are hiding somewhere else...

Sponsored person file updated with Medical Report : 25 March

Hi everyone!

Update: we received our stage two AOR yesterday and it said the file was transferred to POS vo for further processing.

I noticed that the first and second email have the same UCI and file number. From what someone shared earlier, the second email should have a different UCI # which would belong to me ( the applicant) to check the status. But that's not the case. Can someone please share his/ her knowledge on this? Thanks!

hi MsRuby -
We received our AOR by email and SA by paper mail. AOR had 1 UCI and 1 application number, as did the SA. When I log in, I use the UCI and my (sponsor's info) - and I can see the sponsorship and the application. so - you may be able to do the same and see everything!
hope that helps?

Hi everyone,
My Application was received March 4, 2014 in Mississauga office. Got AOR in March 29, and approved eligibility as a spouse and file transfered to singapore on March 31. But my problem is I checked online for status update up, there is no update there, though CIC told me to check updated information via online. What should I do? How to solve my problem?
