Hi everyone! Been following the thread for some time and figured its time to introduce ourselves :)
We sent in our application on March 18 and it arrived as per tracking on March 21, haven't heard anything from Mississauga yet. The visa office will be Accra, we seen on the spreadsheet there is one other applying through Accra too so it will be interesting to compare our progress. I can't wait until the day I can welcome my husband to Canada in the airport instead of having to say goodbye in one again!
Good luck and all the best to you all :D We're happy to be a part of the March applicants. I will add our info to the spreadsheet.

Welcome to the threat Obronibini. Since they received your application on March 21, Hopefully you will hear from them around April 19.

Thank you :) that is when we r expecting to receive SA and if possible have our application sent to Accra as well , it won't be bad to receive fast Aor like piyar , looks like our applications were revived same day. Keeping our fingers crossed . The Accra thread is slow , no one seem to be posting lately , does anyone have an idea of an Accra spreadsheet ? It won't be bad to check :)

Welcome to the march thread obronibini. I can't help you with Accra topics...but you are welcome to post questions here and maybe one of us can help.

praying to have SA this week and to those who doesn't have their AOR hopefully this week we all have it

I pray you get it too!
A bit early for me, but an AOR would be lovely!
I wouldn't say no to it!
May this thread and the threads before ours be super active with good news this week!

Hello Friends,

It is with great happiness to tell you that I recieved SA only one day after I had recieved the AOR. The SA email came this morning. CPC-M is working quickly, so yours will come soon as well.

Thank you. I cannot update the spreadsheet since I'm at work and "Google docs" are blocked by our administrator.

No problem, you are a nice blue colour on the spreadsheet now. lol

So exciting that you have SA now you can sit back and twiddle your thumbs since you know all the next steps are going to take forever.
We should all start a quilting club or something, we could make a lot of quilts. A LOT. Anyone have a loom? lol

HAHAHA.....you are very funny. But you are right about things slowing down at this point. My wife and I are considering submitting visitor visa application so that we can spend our first wedding anniversary together this summer. The odds of approval are slim but still worth trying.

Yeah that would be nice for you. We applied for a TRV for my husband back when we were only boyfriend/girlfriend, he is too poor. No "good" job, no property, no money in the bank, doesn't speak English. So it got denied and even though we will be apart for our anniversary, and the birth of our first child...I'm not going to bother. It will be a lot of work and getting hopes up just to be told no again. We have been long distance for more of our relationship than we have been together, it's disappointing but really no point in getting upset over that which you cannot control. I hope you get it, though. Your wife is in the phillipines, right? So you are much farther apart and travel is a lot more costly. Would be nice if she could come here.

Where are you from in Canada? I'm bringing my tropical, Costa Rican husband to the frigid cold winters of Saskatchewan. hahaha We'll see if he thinks it's the much promised "better life" after he's been here through February. hahahaha.

Hello agarand8,
I saw that you copied the bottom information (averages,...) from the february spreadsheet that I edit, and I'm so glad! ;D
Just as an advice, I would change who can edit it. I don't want to think what it would happened if some evil person delete or change some things... >:(

I live in Ontario and my wife lives in the Philippines which is hot country most of the year (expect for typhoon season). I told my wife several times that I'm worried about the fact that she might not like this freezing country, but she always says she will like wherever her husband lives. The biggest reason I want her to try to get visitor visa this summer is so see how beautiful this country is during the summer and not have her first experience of Canada to be -30 degrees weather.

My wife feels the same way that you feel, she doesn't want to get her hopes up and get denied for the visitor visa again. I told her to not get her hopes up and just focus on the sponsorship application, and perhaps consider the attempt to visit me this summer as bonus. We still have not made final decision as to whether to apply or not because she wears her heart on her sleaves.

This is all difficult. But still try to find a reason to laugh and enjoy life.
