there is a few reasons why were not going to land till January but the biggest one is My husband wants to have one last Aussie Christmas with his family. Also my daughter is in school and their school year ends in December not that it matters much as she is only in grade 1. We also have a house to sell so allowing a few months for that to be done.

As much as I would love to leave right now I know that 3 months will come by quickly! :)

Thanks O_guy and mikeymike. This is the exciting part, she is tying up loose ends, packing, gave notice to her company, packing little every day. I am wondering how to book a good seat on a plane (the ones decent for a pregnant woman) not knowing the date her passport will come back? We literally want to catch the first plane after so she can fly before too late!

On a lighter note...gcms notes came today finally. Absolutely nothing worth reading. But I certainly am not complaining. :p

Personally I prefer aisle seat so that I don't feel like I'm bothering someone everything I need to go to the toilet. And since she is pregnant and may need to go more often, it may be better for her to sit aisle seat. Another note; you can google the seat diagram of all the major airplane types and find out which seat gives more leg room, etc.

Hey all. Just checked the cic website. My wife's status has been changed to decision made. We submitted her passport on the 10th of September. So should have the passport back in hand anyway I guess. Here's hoping for good news

Hi guys,

My wife has left Canada a few hours ago to return to Vietnam. She got passport request about a month ago. She is going to send in passport and the 4 photos to Singapore VO in a couple days. However, the back of the photos are very waxy as they are high quality photographic paper, and I can't even use a Sharpie on it without it smudging her name and DOB on the back under the slightest touch. Did anyone else have this problem? Got the pics taken at London Drugs.

I just told my wife to just carefully put a piece of paper in between the photos and hope it doesn't smudge. We even put her name and DOB on the envelope just in case. Here's to hoping we don't get delayed because of this :p

I would tell her to get the passport photos done in Vietnam. I remember when I was in the Philippines with my wife, there were photo places in every mall and they were not high quality paper. So why take any chance to delay the PR when it is easy to get passport photos done in Vietnam on non-high quality paper?

Hi all - I was just checking in and noticed a typo in the spreadsheet. My application was sent on 3/22/2014 not... 3/22/2103!

No updates from me... hit the 6 month mark and still waiting at 'Application Received'. London seems to be on a bit of a slowdown so probably another 2-3 months wait.

Ecas just updated to Decision made. I am rather confused as to whether it is a good news or not. Along with PPR, I also got a procedural fairness letter asking for intention to return and severing ties to my country. I am kinda worried.

May I ask how you knew it was a procedural fairness letter? Does the letter have a heading or something that says that on it? I ask as when we got our PPR the letter asked for an update on our plans to settle in Canada, further proof, etc. Nowhere did it say "procedural fairness" though, and I'm wondering if they ask for the same information regardless, but there are differing levels of scrutiny?

As it was, I sent a job offer letter and proof of re-starting professional licenses with the original app and for the PPR letter I sent the same again, along with a copy of a mortgage for the house we bought. I was little surprised that the job offer letter and licenses activations wasn't adequate for the original app.
