Hello Folks 8)

Finally finished my Oath Ceremony on September 20th, Saturday.

Total 100 people in Ceremony, with 30 to 40 guests, so about 130 to 140 people were in the hall.

It took about less than 2 hours.

I am so happy now.

Finally My Timeline:

Application Received: March 5th, 2014

Processing Started: April 15th, 2014

Received line disappeared: July 13th (Sunday morning)

File Transferred to local office: July 28th

File Received in Local office: August 7th

Test date letter received: August 14th

Test date: September 5th

Oath Letter: September 5th (Received immediately after the interview)

Oath Date: September 20th (Saturday)

I came to Canada in 2010 and finally my journey with immigration is over.

Hello emailekale:

My local office is Scarborough, It is the fastest local office in Canada.

2014 applications are getting processed at rocket speed.

I very rarely see people getting RQ'S in 2014.

May be CIC has changed it's policies on RQ'S.

My friend who applied in 2012, his application is still in processing :-X

I heard It's not because they have changed the RQ policies, but they have more capability to collect information from the borders and cooperates with US side, so they will find out if any applicant is trying to cheat. It's like they have upgraded the background-check department.

Yes, they want many happy people. But it works though, imagine last time, after you applied, tried to forget about it first, as it would take forever for any news to come back. Now is different, every day people check mail box and ecas. It's like the lottery in 3rd world country.

I read in an article about CIC teams up with RCMP to crack down the residency fraud.
Btw, any news since you submitted you FP? I got request too, just submitted today. I order 2 sets, one to be sent to CIC and the other to me, just in case. I have to pay double though.

No news, but I confirmed that CIC received it from RCMP and St Clair is processing it. It feels like a black hole.

What is your office?

Vancouver. Have you ever had any problem with police, even a small one? But if CIC received from RCMP between weeks, should be no record, otherwise would take 3 months for the finger print result to come out.
