Today attended the Oath ceremony @ Mississauga and received Canadian citizenship certificate.

They verify Landing /confirmation of permanent residence document and PR card while entering the hall and provide you a seat number. They will keep the PR card.

Ceremony started with a video play about Canada and taking Oath, then instructions from a clerk. Judge entered and delivered his citizenship speech, oath taking after the speech and then issuing certificates to all new citizens. After that, speech from a charity group head and judge again did his conclusion speech followed by national anthem. Whole process took about two hrs.

Thanks everyone for all your inputs during this entire application process and good luck to everyone! :)
congraz, pls give me some luck, haha

Completed my citizenship test today at Mississauga office. Oath date is scheduled for Aug 7th.

Questions were easy, passed with 20/20. Full end to end read of Discover Canada book at least twice will help.

For our batch, they did the interview/doc verification first and then the test.
After the test they announced the results and also provided the oath ceremony letter.
Whole process including waiting time was around 2.5 hrs.

Good luck for all those attending soon.
Hello .. Did they write anything on the oath letter ? Or just handed the print out ?

Hi All,

Finally I took oath today and became a Canadian Citizen.
I would like to thank all the people on this forum who helped me by sharing their experiences.
CIC has always been unpredictable, some applications go at rocket speed and some others at snails one.
I consider myself very fortunate to have hit the CIC jackpot not once but twice.
My PR application (Start to finish) got processed in 100 days, I was stunned that time, and now, my citizenship application got processed in 140 days, I am speechless.
I am glad I did not have to deal with CIC for long terms.

I wish all the friends on this forum Good-Luck and speedy processing.

I'm Done!!!

Cheers!!!

Hi Manyaqx:

Yes, Scarborough has become little slower than Mississauga now.

I am expecting Test date in September, hopefully by October I will get my Citizenship.

December Holidays I am planning to go to Florida and California so hopefully I get Canadian Passport before December.

:D
