I`ve heard that some applicants doesnt get this piece of paper also i saw that you background check completed at june 11.. how do you know that? did you call them?

Yes called cic call center this am and was given this info

Yesterday a lady at cic call center said background checks just started...

Looks like January applicants have started receiving Test date in June/July.

How long does it usually takes to receive the test date?

Will they communicate via regular mail and also displayed in ECAS?

It depends the different local office.

So far 2014 applicants who got their test date are from local offices from Niagara falls and Windsor.

Application volumes are less in these offices. Lucky guys

Hello,
Called cic today and was told my background check has been completed and file was transfered to local office.
Called again to double check and I was given the exact dates of background checks and file transfer date.

Received march 6,2014
AOR and book sent march 6,2014
In process April 16,2014
Received line disappeared may 19,2014
received AOR and booklet may 20,2014
File transferred to local office june 12th,2014

Any experience with hamilton office, how long does it take to get test date from them..

I managed to gain access to ecas 45 days after it was received and I received AOR way longer after that

Looked some timelines from october /November google doc. On an avg it took about 110 days from processing date to Test date. Some of the GTA applicants got their Test date in 100 days from processing date.

Our test dates will most probably be scheduled around Aug/Sep.

Called CIC today, security clearance is done and in the process of transferring to Mississsauga office.
