Hi everyone.. I'm currently here in Canada and my partner is in the Philippines we are in F to F relationship and we are planning to submit our application this February 2014. Is there anyone here with the same situation? By the way we choose to apply under common law because we lived together for more than one year.. I hope I'm still welcome here even though me and my partner is not a conjugal partner applicant.. Thanks!..

Hello! Im in a F/F relationship...but we are not common law...we got married last year of February and started processing our application by April 2013...and Im already here in Canada last Nov.29, 2013. It took us a little over 7 mos to get us approved.

Im just not sure how it works for common law...i guess, it's just the same...best of luck to you and your partner!

Thank you for your reply febgrl05, your application was really fast.. I hope my partner will arrive here in canada before this year ends or maybe early next year.. I already bought couples winter jackets for me and my partner I hope we can wear it next winter.. LOL =D We already submitted our application last feb23 and now waiting for AOR and SA I hope it will come before the end of march..

hi guys. im just new here in this forum po. grabe ang dami ko nababasang na approved yung application nila sana ganun din samin ng partner ko (m2m) anyways before i start po ishare ko lang yng kwento ko

OFW po yung bf ko sa canada then he got his PR this year 2014. one year na kami ng partner ko and he wants me to go to canada and live there with him . 2 times na po kami nag meet in person and every time po na nag vivisit siya dito sa philippines sa akin siya tumitira for 1 month. 1 month lang kasi siya pwede mag stay dito sa philippines. while he is in canada; everyday, every hour and every minute kami ng uusap sa facebook chat, viber and tango minsan lang po siya tumtwag sakin sa cellphone and he is using repaid card. may mga post cards kami kso bilang lang. we bought a condo at nakapanalan sknya yung property and nakapanagalan sakin yung SPA nung condo na binili namin. we have joint account here in philippines. here's my questions na po

1. pwede po bang online chats and online logs ang ipakita namin sa embassy instead of phone bills?
2. isa po sa mga requirments ng canada is dapat nkapangalan sming dalawa yung mga beneficiary, testaments, insurance etc. partner ko na po ba mag aadd skn dun? kasi here in the philippines bawal ata na bf/gf ang ilagay as beneficiary?
3. how about emails po need po ba tlga nun?
4. may age barrier po ba? kasi im 23 and he's 35 yrs old n po
5. ilan po ba dapat ang post card na ipapakita?
6. need ko po ba mag apply ng tourist visa ara malaman po ng embassy na may interest akong puntahan partner ko kahit ma deny? or okay lang kung hindi kumuha ng tourist visa?

I am planning to invite my partner to visit me here in canada. My question is, is it ok to say in the letter of invitation that the purpose of the visit magpapakasal kami dito. Is there any chance that the immigration would consider that?

its goin to be an automatic disapproval, for trv the visa officer is looking for strong ties with the native country of the applicant, i suggest you come to her and marry her and apply for family sponsorship, hope this helps

Thanks febgrl05 for your reply if only she can apply for a tourist visa here in Canada to get married it easier for us to get approve just like what you did. But we choose to skip that part and try our luck in family class sponsorship as common law partners. I was approved as sponsor on March 28, 2014 and our file will soon be transfer to Manila Visa Office and hopefully we'll be together here in Canada early next year..

Hey everyone!

Same here, no update yet on ECAS. But my partner talked to her MP last week, they got an info that our application is for background check already. And we don't know what's next. BTW, I'm a Nov.13 applicant.
