Please let me know of any reliable and cost-effective mail-forwarding service in Vancouver, BC. I need to forward my Canada mail to US address.

I checked out http://www.mailnetwork.com/ , but their cost seems to be on the higher side and moreover they offer only 6+ months service. Anyone used this service?

You can get Canada Post to do it. You can get a PO box by them and ask for all your mail to be forwarded to your US address. I believe you can buy a year up front but I think you can extend after that.

Do I have to be in Canada to rent a PO box? I am thinking of providing the Canada address at POE for PR Card.

I don't know if you have to be in Canada. There is some info at http://www.canadapost.ca/cpo/mc/personal/ratesprices/receive/postalbox.jsf but for inquiries, they point you towards actual local post offices so you might have to locate one in Vancouver if that is where you want it to be and ask if you get rent one beforehand. Otherwise, you can rent one after you land and give CIC your PO box number later.

Check out The Network Hub (thenetworkhub.ca) in downtown Vancouver, they do mail forwarding for Canada and it's not a postal address. They can receive documents that require signatures.
