Hi Guys, This is my first post on this forum.
Kindly assist me in order to give me a clear picture with regards to TRV (Temporary Residence Visa) of Canada.
I and my wife planning to deliver our first child in Canada and we have good 7 months to work on this TRV process.

We're currently located in Dubai. I'm working in Dubai for the last 10 years and have a stable job.
So does my wife. She works online as a sales representative.

1. I need to know where we should start the process.
2. How we can consult a good gynecologist located in Canada itself.
3. How we can find out if our insurance is covered there in Canada for this process.
4. And list of documents + requirements

If anyone can assist me through this, that would be a great help.

1. TRV proess is here: https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/visa.asp
2. You won't be able to get a referral and speak with a gynecologist until you are physically in Canada.
3. Call your insurance company and ask.
4. You'll want to show strong ties to your home country / country of residency. The details are in the TRV link above. Follow the instructions there.

You should also be aware that it may be difficult to get OB care in Canada especially at the moment. There are huge pressures on the health system and some hospitals did not even accept those without Canadian provincial healthcare before Covid. Those with provincial health insurance were always prioritized but there are now cases where OB units have had to divert women who have Canadian health cards to other centres due to lack of resources. You may also be denied entry to Canada, even if you have a valid visa, due to concerns about use of the healthcare system at the moment. A quick google search will show how the healthcare system is in crisis at the moment. Would add that flying during a pandemic is likely not advised due to increased risk of contracting Covid which is much more dangerous for pregnant women. Your current OB will likely advise you to avoid any settings where a pregnant women risks exposure to covid.
