HI PMM

Can someone guide me about the lock in age by CPC-Mississauge?

I had sponsored my two brothers and one sister as bellow

Brother 1 = 24 years age (Fulltime Student at back home when i submitted the application at CPC-M)
Brother 2 = 23 years age (Fulltime Student at back home when i submitted the application at CPC-M)
Sister 1 = 16 years age (Fulltime Student at back home when i submitted the application at CPC-M)

At which age they will lock in here CPC-M. I know my sister have no problem.

But my two brother were already over age at the time of sponsorship as i mentioned above. If they were fulltime student when i sponsored CPC-M will also locked in their age too?

I have got the approval in AUG-2007 after two years wait.

Then we submitted all the Forms and documents to CHC- ISB.

Now my brothers are 27 and 28. They need to continue their study till they get the visa now they are completing in few months. our case at ISB since 14-FEB-2008 25 months.

Can i think my both over age brothers had also locked in age when i sponsored at CPC-M? Or only they LOCK in the Age <22 years when you sponsored them.

Thanks

The age is only locked in if the person is under 22 when the application goes in. There is no reason or point of locking in the age of your brothers who were already over-aged when you applied. It doesn't matter if they are 23 or 28, as long as they still classify as full time students for the whole time and are not married.

Yes, since CIC does not see sponsorship of parents as a priority, the applications take a long time. If your brothers get tired of studying to keep their "dependent children" status, of course they can stop studying and get jobs but then they will have to apply for their own immigration instead of going with your mother.
