Send your application for the WP, if you're losing your status. Attach a cover letter that a LMO is in process. When was the LMO app sent?

This LMO is taking far too long!! My current visa will expire next month. I was wondering if anybody could advice me on who I should call with regard to obtaining implied status or getting some agreement from them that I can continue to work past my visa expiry if needs be on the basis that they are too slow at processing applications.

Thanks!

So will they hold out the application for a certain amount of time to wait on the LMO to be approved if I do that do you think? The LMo app was sent on Jan 10th, 2012 and my current visa expires April 22nd. I still have time but judginf off processing times on this forum, it may take them longer than April 22 to approve/reject my LMO app. Thanks!

My employer sent the lmo appplication on jan 6, still no results. My work permit expired on jan 8, and was already refused on march 7, since no lmo approved was received. Now, let's go for the restoration of status. I have to stop working, anybody knows if my children are allowed to go to school?
It looks like I will have to stay at home for a while.I appreciate your comments

It's taking 3-4 months :( for LMO to process these days. So if you send your application for WP two weeks before your WP (visa?, why visa) expires. Buys you a littl time. Then ask your employer to follow up the LMO application. If you can get the file number then you can already include that on your cover letter.

SC contacted my employer last week, my LMO application was submitted Dec 16. And if you ask them what's the processing time, they will say 3 months .... so in your case, expect around mid-April.

Thanks a lot for your information Hope4MapleLeaf. I appreciate. I think they might not have accepted LMO applications during Christmas break which might help my case in processing.

I am hoping for the same Christmas break speed up! I applied on Jan 10th and haven't heard anything yet. I will let you know if I do as it will be a good indication for you!

Hello everybody,

I need help from you guys. I applied my LMO on 21 January but my application might just have an issue. My salary is 13cents less than the average wage mentioned on the website for job profile. Will that affect my LMO application?? I am assuming 13 cents is too less to reject an application. what do you think??

Let me update my case, a bit different as my application is in Quebec Province

My prospective employer submitted the application for LMO and CAQ in the middle of Dec 2011, in the middle of Feb 2012, Service Canada started to study my case, and then Service Canada sent my documents to Immigration Québec on 24th Feb for CAQ processing(it looks at this date LMO results had been unfolded, while we did not get any further info at that stage).

I received my positive LMO and CAQ for 2 years on 16th March 2012, it takes totally 3 months to get LMO and CAQ in Quebec Province. Hope this will help someone in the same boat with me in the near future.
