SOWP Outland India – Why Different Processing Times?

Just asking out of curiosity, not as a competition.

My wife and my friend's wife have very similar profiles: both applying from India, Bachelor's + Master's, and both husbands have the same TEER 1 job. We also submitted medical/biometrics around the same time.

I applied about 1 week before my friend, but his wife's SOWP was approved about 1 week ago, while mine is still processing. So I applied earlier, but my application is now almost 2 weeks behind his approval.

Why does IRCC process similar applications in such different orders? For those who applied recently, how long did your SOWP take, and when should I expect a decision?

Would appreciate any recent experiences. Thanks!

Processing is not a strict chronological process because a variety of things within process may take shorter/longer than other applicants. A few weeks differences would still be considered that same processing time. If there was many months differences that would be more than a margin of error difference. How long is left on your souse’s WP? How long have you been married and gad you been living together in India before getting a WP in Canada? How long have you lived in Canada?
