Congratulations. What do you do now that you have it? Do you now need to apply for a working visa?

28th November - 10th February = 10/11 weeks. Which is a lot better than 15 weeks.
Congratulations on getting a positive LMO!

Congrats to northwest and Man, this is week 12 for me and hoping it will be the one for good news.
Thanx for the update.

Thanks for the updates and congratulations to those that have received a positive LMO!! :)

Yup I need to apply a WP. I'll start preparing the docs now. The LMO also comes with more good news regarding my employment. The one up there never fails to surprise me. He'll give it to you when it's time and sometime would give you more :)

Just hang in there guys. One thing I learned on reading this forum is to be patient.Be more patient.Don't use other forumers approval as the basis on questioning why your LMO is taking so long. Mine took me 14 weeks.Others are only taking 8 weeks.but I just hang on. ;)

Hi if you're still wanting to know the timeline for LMO application. Here is ours:

January 16- Submitted the application fro LMO through expresspost

January 26- Got a call from Service Canada that we got a positive LMO

Feb 1- Got the LMO in the mail

Man415 - That's great that in addition to the approved LMO you received even more good news! Yes, patience is key. It's just I have been trying for SIX years now. Finally found an employer willing to interview me and apply for the LMO. I'm just concerned whether it will be approved or not.

Jade - Wow, that was FAST. Congrats!

Update: The employer had an interview with Service Canada this morning. It went well and they are hopeful the LMO will be approved. Should find out later this week or early next week.

I believe they applied around November 15, so it has been 13 weeks so far.

Hang in there everyone and good luck!

@wideopenspaces,

Sorry to hear that, are they going to re-apply for the LMO? Which sector/ NOC Code did you fall under if I may ask.

Hi wideopenspaces,
Do you know the reason for denying the LMO?

I wasn't told what the reason was. I did email them and ask but no reply yet. Hopefully there is something we can do. I know this employer is legitimate and has done all the right things (advertised on Job Bank and other sites and offered the prevailing wage). It sounds as though the questions in the Service Canada interview can be tricky, as if they WANT you to say the wrong thing. That is all I really know.

The NOC is 7452

I'm hoping this can be turned around but I don't know how likely that is.
