Hi Friends please reply

I have been offered a Job opportunity in Toronto based company in the month of March 2014, from then onwards the roller coaster ride has started. They said they have applied for the LMIA, which was then called LMO, then June onwards they started saying its now called LMIA and rules have changed. After several follow ups today they say since the rules have changed my procedure got delayed also most important thing they say according to the new procedure of LMIA

"The company applies for LMIA to Service Canada, Service Canada then approves LMIA and sends back to Company, then Company approves my Name and again with all the documents submits it to Service Canada, and then Service Canada again issues the LMIA in my name"

I need to understand is this the real change in procedure?

This is not a change. This procedure was in place before as well. There are two options for employer: Either they apply for the LMIA with name or unnamed. It looks like your employer chose to apply the unnames LMIA and then want to add name to it. Dont worry after getting preapproval employer will have to add you name in the LMIA. My employer is gona do the same thing.

Can u please guide me how can we apply for Visitor Visa..... while on Implied Status or Restoration ..?

I am sorry if you are on implied status then you may have no choice but to leave Canada and reapply for a new visa from outside Canada. If any other member know any option please shadow some help here!

When is your restoration period finishing Dhillon ?

Thanks a lot for the reply, I am wondering what's the use for this extended procedure simply putting everyone in distress. I hope myself to get through and wish you the same !!!
Cheers !!!

Absolutely, I guess this is big time money spinner who seek Job and are desperate by charging $ 1000.00 !!!
They wouldn't think even once before they say to you "Did we come to ask you to please apply? If you are troubled go back we don't care we got your $ 1000.00. ??? ???
If they were so concerned about Canadian, they would just Cap the whole process, avoid accepting any application, but instead they accept your application, they charge you then keep you dangling until you give up !!!

Anyways best luck to you too ....

I agree.. if they think canadians and PR here can do all the jobs then stop accepting applications, for thousands of people applying and paying fortune amount of fees whole world to Canada this must be a giant business. people whose applying inside canada are good tax payers, working hard their ass to just pay taxes while they want to give the jobs to those "Tax Free" individual here with monthly government check allowance but yet lazy to work. thats my rant for today lol

Expect to hear something in early january.

They may contact your employer before then to ask routine questions and they will take payment and issue you a file number.

Cannot see a decision being made until january though.

Hello everyone, can you tell me if it's possible for truck driver to apply for pnp/ sinp without lmia? I'm wondering if we can do this while we wait LMIa decision? Thanks so much. Great thread.

I do not suggest pnp even when your husband get WP, there is waiting timeline approx. 2 years in Alberta. Canadian Experience Class after 1 year or if you will be lucky maybe your husband get invitation to apply with Express Entry for PR. Let somebody correct me if I am wrong.

2 weeks have passed since lady from SC contacted my employer and since then we can't reach her. Probably my papers are just sitting and waiting for her to conduct interview with employer and then it will be either approved or declined ???

The worst i have heard was from Salil. When his employer called SC to ask for the status, they mentioned that the agent dealing with their case is off to a vacation in CUBA. Lol . Can u beat this?
