Found out that the date stamp on my received application from when they took the cheque was september 12th.

So even though i only got the file number a week ago today, the application has been inputted into their system for a month?

The file number was probably created, but there is some poor person that prioritises what gets faxed/posted at which time. My snail mail - 2 weeks from an address 8 blocks away? It obviously wasn't posted the date it was printed.
A month with a file number and no response - does not bode well for me finding out by the end of the month now. Fingers crossed you'll hear something soon.

Just a huge guessing game, i have stopped thinking it might be this day or this day and im just going to wait, driving me insane trying to use the timeline of other peoples lmia applications and putting it against mine.

Seems pointless, kinda.

At least with having a file number you can call SC and get updates now.

Sent the application 4th time on October 5th. No update so far. Employer hasnt been charged yet :( Frustrating.

So would it have been faster if my employer had applied by fax than paper?

Who knows which way is quicker.

The fact that they mail you once the cheque/application has been charged/processed or whatever.

They then fax you the LMIA? why wouldnt they just do everything the same way.

You're applying from inside Canada right?

I received my file number today in snail mail - however the letter was dated September 29th.

Question today asking about average wage range of employee in my position - which I believe was the additional question on the new form created on September 18th. They haven't asked for a new form to be completed just the answer to the question at least.

How did they ask for this information? did they call your employer?

I cant keep up with anything anymore.

My employer had spoken to someone after the original 12th of september date (this is when they said they recieved it when they cashed the cheque)

but with the form changes and what not.....

But they took the processing fee and a file number.

Brit-you got asked for the additiona information after having them take the fee and file number right?

does that make sense? ;/ i think i worded it correctly.

They emailed him the question and he has to fax it back when we get the info from HR...
Of course they're going to take the money, it's the name of the game!
