Yep, a month of not working now and as of today, i am no closer to going back to work than i was a month ago.

I should have just done what everyone else is doing on IEC and continued to work.

I am going to have my employer call every week for an update.

i suggest anyone who has submitted forms a month or so ago and still not heard anything (case number, payment)

get your employer to call them and chase up on it or it may take alot longer than anticipated.

Does anyone got rewarded with 10-day speed service for NOC code that classifies as skilled trade.
my NOC 7311 - 30$/hour?

Hi all,

My husband('s company) applied for LMIA mid August (can't remember exact day but between 11th to 15th, I think..) and we still didin't get the result... SC asked for the documents which was missing (because of the FAX probrem) about 2 weeks ago, and since then, nothing moves forward. His company is calling there 2-3 times a week and their answer is always "we're working on it"... It is a skilled trade job so it should be done within 10 days!!!

By the way, are you all from Alberta? We are in Ontario...

@ kik4
As I wrote above, my husband's job is skilled trade (I think NOC 7301) and we are waiting almonst 2 month now...

I'm in the top 10% of wage earners in Alberta and should also benefit from the 10 day processing, but it's been almost a month now.

My company's immigration lawyer said he was dealing with 2-3 changes that service canada has made in past 2 weeks, now he will send application with new forms. He also changed noc code from 2243 wage 27$ to 7311 wage 30$ to be granted with 10-days speed service. I presume he was talking with SC and got approval for that. There is no need of advertising again for that noc change.

I'm in BC top 10%, but it's almost 15 weeks. However, my employer applied a day before LMIA changes were announced, and their lawyer said I'm not eligible for 10-day processing, because application will be processed according to old rules.

Do you have a case number/has your employer been charged the $1000 fee?

Just had a chat with HR; nope, no file number yet. They said that they updated the forms a couple of weeks ago in relation to that change and that my documents are all up to date and complete (sounds like my company has an advisor they use to keep up to date on changes/etc).

They also said there's another guy in the company who has been waiting since end of July, yet recently there was another that was processed within 6 weeks.

Another interesting note, they have had one rejection on LMIA yet previously never had rejections with LMO.

Yeah, there doesn't seem to be a time
Frame for anyone really, each case is assessed individually.

I've seen them processed in 13 days. 3 weeks, a month. And so on and so on.

Lots of contributing factors though that can change how long your application takes.

Just got to keep on waiting!

-UPDATE.

My application is now underway, my employer spoke to SC on monday, re-submitted the new up to date forms that were required with the new changes..

I'm still going to get my employer to call them every monday for an update as i still dont trust them.

GOOD LUCK!! They made you send the forms from September 18th or did you just choose to do that yourselves?
