Good morning,

M employer had a phone interview with Canadian Government Senior official where he answered their questions and got a favorable response. I was wondering how long it takes after the interview to get the LMIA approved and sent. Could it still be denied.

Thank you

Did you receive LMIA approval letter?
Where from will you be applying for work visa?

Hello everyone,

Please help! My employer finally decided to apply the LMIA for me.
My questions are:
1. How long will it take to get the result of LMIA for the pharmacy assistant position (non-skilled job)?
2. Can I apply for the work permit extension when my current employer still in the process of recruitment?
3. If I apply for a visitor visa and wait for the LMIA result, can I still remain in Canada if the LMIA is negative?

Thanks!

Hi, I still have not heard anything from service Canada despite my employer's interview being done a month ago. My employer did tell me that service Canada has been in communication with them recently. Has this happened to anyone? Does anyone have any input on how much delay there can be further :(

Guys, my employer was interviewed today. Application was sent on the 11th of January, he got e-mail and phone call this Monday, but because he was not available until today, he called Service Canada today for an interview.
Noc: 6221 (technical sales specialist)
Ontario
Wage: $25

This is the second LMIA for the employer, probably this is the reason it was very fast.
Hi Sandra, Thanks for sharing your experience.
I am willing to apply soon for LMIA for NOC 6221 too.
I am overseas and I wonder if I can get approval for it.
So you think we have chances for LMIA approvals under this NOC ?

Hi Yes. Thank you so much for follow up. I found out last week that my LMIA was accepted and the approval letter has been sent.
I am in Pakistan and since the processing time for work permit application is insanely long, I was thinking of Flagpoling. I do have visit visas for US and Canada and I have gotten my physical already. Does anyone have any experience with Flagpoling. Especially close to Saskatchewan border.
Thank you for help

Can anyone please help, I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but please help me

below is my question:

I got PR, I am yet to land in Canada, in my EE application I have claimed points under arranged employment as I had LMIA approved job offer. Now, the problem is the job offer is from Manitoba and I am planning to settle in Ontario, as my work can be done remotely and my spouse got job in Ontario. Will there be any restriction related to job location? All other work conditions are being satisfied as per LMIA letter and annex, only the job location is not same as mentioned in LMIA. Will this cause me or the employer any issue while the inspection is conducted or with the compliance? I was not nominated by any province got PR through Express Entry.

My employer said he has no problem if I work from Ontario but as per his knowledge the immigration law says that I should work at LMIA job location in Manitoba.

Please guide me about the situation, as me and my spouse don’t want to settle in different Province.

Will there be compliance or any other issue if I work from Ontario?

Hi Everyone,

My employer needs to submit a transition plan for LMIA. He doesn't have a clue about how to fill this form as this is the first time they are looking to hire a TFW. I am product specialist and I need to stay in Canada for a period of 6-12 months to train the local Canadian team and ensure a smooth transition. It would be of great help if someone shares a sample transition plan which would help me and my employer in coming up with our own plan.

I understand that most of the information in the plan would be confidential, however I would really appreciate if someone could share one, after removing/masking the elements of confidentiality in the plan. All I am looking for is a generic plan which me or my employer can use as a base to prepare one for me.

Thanks,

Hi All,

Recently I have obtained a job offer from a company based in Vancouver, BC. I have following questions:
1. For my NOC 2171 how long will it take to obtain positive LMIA?
2. After LMIA , how long does it take to get Work Permit?
3. Do i need to go for stamping? Is interview conducted for Canadian work permit?

Please let me know if you have any info on this or please provide pointers if this is not the right forum.

Much appreciated!!

Hi All,

I am a newbie here. Congrats to everyone who got their LMIA! Reading back on the old entries I got the feeling that the whole LMIA process will really be a roller coaster ride of emotions.

I just want to ask, because I saw a lot of posts that says 'LMIA application: <date>', does that mean when the job position was published in job bank or is it really when the LMIA application forms was submitted to SC?

The lawyer handling my LMIA says it will take about 8-9 weeks from the posting of the job position in job bank, but looking at the actual timelines from the posts here it's more than 10 weeks from the filing of the LMIA to SC.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Here we go again posting in this thread after over a year...

I will have to apply for a new LMIA (currently inland on a closed WP) for my PR. Since I got promoted to a manager position (NOC 0213) and that would increase my points in the Express Entry pool.

Do any of you guys have a timeline to share for NOC 0 positions? My hourly wage will be a dollar over the average.

Thanks and good luck for all you waiting!

Hi Guys,

Hope you are all doing well.

Quick question. After the SC's interview with the employer, we got an email from her requesting for the copies of advertisements. The officer did not give a hint if we got a positive response or not. My question is, how we would know if we the interview was positive or not? Will the employer receive an email if we got a positive LMIA?

Could you please share your employer's experience after the interview? The emplpyer was not sure if he answered all the questions correctly.

Thanks!
