Live-in caregiver (PR IN-PROCESS)

hi friends,

I mailed my application - 1st Nov. 2009.
CIC received it 6th Nov.2009
They started process 19 January 2010. (after 2 and half months)
I am married and included my spouse and kid, who are in backhome.

Still my application is in-process and last week they extended time period for
First stage approvel as 6-7 months. My application is in-process almost 6 months now.
Anyway my question is;
One of my friends, (both we are from same country) who was sent same type application as me in June 2009.
After three months her husband (who is in backhome) got a application kit from
Canadian highcommission in our country, also asked him to go to the police clearance too.
I cannot understand even after 5 motnhs my husband didn't get anything. Are they handling each cases in a differant way?
If somebody knows about this please help me.

Hi,

Your application is within the cic-published processing time. Wait it out. Different officers process applications at different speeds even if they have the same operating procedures. You have to receive AIP before they send the kit to your family in your country.

@ Suee your waiting is almost over to get your first stage approval, maybe this week or next week you have your open work permit. When I checked the cic processing times they already processed Oct 25 applicants , and that was last weeks recent update.

Ewan ko as of June 1 naman na updates d nmn nagbago, oct 25 p rin naprocessed nila

Today I received the Open work permit ., but not anything else.
I mean they didn't send me a letter to go to the medical. I only got
the open work permit. Anyway I am soooooooo happy. Wish you all to receive it
very soon! My family in back home didn't receive any document kit yet.

Did you try contacting cic to ask about your medical instructions? And do you also check your Ecas? I think your included in their new law about applicants not to undergo the second medical exams. ( I hope)

Thank you. I didn't get any request for medical. I am a Sri Lankan. I check it in Ecas. They shows "medical results have been received and A decision has been made and you will be contacted." I will keep update. Wish you to get it very soon.
