I haven't received yet but i should tomorrow . It was sent on Sept 6 ,so it should be in mail tomorrow. I will update soon.

@Monalizy- you can apply an e.i online, or you can go to any service canada office and apply make sure you have all your r.o.e with you.

Actually.. I'm not a single applicant but I'm the main applicant with my wife. And she was here too in Canada under LCP. And we have 2 kids that were born here in Canada and both have Canadian Passport and I knew its valid because we just arrived from vacation (backhome).
I don't know if I have application the same with others (that their dependent were here too)? hope they share their timeline too!

Panda28, do both of you appied for OWP? On our situation with my wife, I'm the one who applied and just carried my wife because I finished the program (2 years) first.

Because CIC started to show some improvement in our process, It doesn't mean that we will stop to fight...Are we?

Seems they are processing the single applicants faster...to decrease the backlog...but and who has family?

I'm not sure, I'm a single applicant and I'm a little happy with the news...but it's enough?

WE WERE SUPPOSE TO HAVE OUR PR ALREADY!!!! Can we understand it? The process should take 9 months at most and not 16...This is not buying me...are you?

Please let's keep fighting, organizing meeting and who is Edmonton please attend the meeting on september 14 and ask those questions straight to JASON KENNEY, He will be there...PLEASE!!!!

@mollo5000: were same situation..last yr i got married here to my husband who lives and worked in Red deer Alberta,he was a foreign worker under skilled program. i add him in my application last july 2010 right after we got married.its been 14months now and dont have any news from cic on my OWP..its really sucks! im almost closer to the finish line but its getting farther and farther! If i got my OWP it is also possible to apply him OWP too? i only include him in my PR apps.. Pls advice

Hi jelay, yours is another Unique situation, because your husband is foreign worker under skilled program. Maybe we could ask here anybody who has knowledge about your situation! Anybody who could help jelay, pls give some advice.. Thanks!

@Sweetchad461982 1/2 just to be clear: there are 2 processing stages when you apply for PR. 1st stage is assessment of eligibility.
2/2 2nd stage is admissibility & family abroad, if any. If single & no kids,2nd stage is fast. Married/kids = 16 more mos.
Just wondering why all the married applicants doesn't have owp yet?

Hi Everyone, im in a big problem now because Immigration sent me a letter stating that i entered here canada last june 28, 2008 and they received my application for PR and open work permit last April 27,2010 and i need to submit a letter regarding to this matter. It was my mistake that i submit my application too early while im still working at my employer. And i finished 3years working with them......what will i do now???? pls. someone help me ???

Did you use the option 2? The 3900 hours.If u submitted the option 2, u will be 22 months on April 27,2010.u must have completed the 3900 hours.

Hi girls, I just received my OWP that's it. No another letter for interview... I am wondering what happened??

Hi guys,
I received the interview letter. It says:
"You have been scheduled to appear for an interview and to receive your Confirmation of Permanent Residence Document on September 19th....." and there is also the payment instructions.
So I guess it means that my PR is approved and it is all over. I just got OWP in July and braced for a long long wait for PR and here it is.
Does anybody know how the interview goes? Is it something to be worried about or is it just a formality?

Thank you for all your input, support and information. This forum's been a huge support for me. And I'm guessing for all of you too. Don't lose hope. You might just get surprised to get something when you least expect it.
