Live-in caregiver PR applicants for April,May and June timeline

Hi, my application for PR has been approved. Now, i'm waiting for my PR card, but it will take 8 weeks for my pr card to arrived. I'm really anxious to work outside, there's a job hiring at my friends workplace and i don't wanna miss this opportunity. Can I apply now and use my confirmation of residency as a reference document? since i don't have a new SIN, do u think they will accept it? Or i have to wait for my pr card and apply for new sin number?

Please i need your help! thanks.

Hi guys. Did anyone leave Canada while their PR is in process? I got my OWP a month ago. I was thinking to go on vacation. Not sure if there is any problems crossing the borders? I will get the re-entry visa of course.
Also, it says it takes 16 months for the second stage. Is that really that long? Did anyone get their PR interview letter lately? How long did it take from OWP to PR interview? Thanks

I called to CIC today about my Work Permit for the same employer (to renew my WP) and CIC told me - my application for WP approved on July 15th and even told me my Work Permit number. But I still haven't it (during 3 weeks). And CIC agent told me - wait till Aug 25-th, and then if Canadapost lost my Letter (Work Permit), I can apply for another copy only in 6 weeks (from July 15th - Work Permit was issued - till May 16th 2012)
I come to Canada Feb 16th 2008
I sent my application for OWP and PR on Aug 16th 2010
I sent application - RENEW my work Permit for the same employer - March 7th 2011 (because I need SIN number and Health card, and Driver licence - everything expired on May 15th 2011)

And now I have (God Bless) Work permit till May 16th 2012 (but I haven't it on my hand - but application was approved and CIC sent me it by regular mail)

Kalinka, you are pertaining to your "Work permit" right? not "OPEN WORK PERMIT" did the agent told you Open work Permit? Just curious!

Hi Kalinka,

Assessing your post, you applied an extension of your present work permit while your OWP/PR is still in process.
What will happen to your renewed WP when you get your OWP? Are you going to use your OWP right away when you receive it or will you continue with your present employment as a caregiver until May 2012?

this waiting game is killing me! still waiting for work permit-same employer on the mail since they phoned last thursday. tomorrow, processing update, i hope our owp and pr go down even a month.

Agent told me - WORK PERMIT (for the same employer) - not OWP. he told me OWP will be on December 2011 (I sent application for OWP and PR on August 2010)
Now I have (not yet on my hands) WORK PERMIT for the same employer. I applyed for that on March 7th 2011 - processing time for that takes 4 month 1 week, my case March 7th 2011- July 15th 2011)
I still working for my employer, but when I will have OWP (of course )))) I will change my job

When you started the Program, how many employer/s did you have from the beginning till the end of your LCP? And on your recent WP extension application, did CIC asked for a new LMO or you passed your old LMO?

I faced my PR interview today, They varified my basic details in the application and thats it. paid $490 and change the SIN number too. They told me that I will recieve PR card withing 6-8 weeks. feel soooo freee
