I believe your WP will expire at the same date however, you will get the MSP coverage by this month.
Pls check your care card it should be stated the expiring month but date.

If you have a new WP already you can simply send them your copy of new WP.
If not, with the proof of bank receipt for the WP extention, they will give you 3 months extention.
After 6 months of the expiration, you have to apply again by filling up the form "Application for Enrolment" which you can easily get from the net.
Bcoz you have had MSP coverage previously, it would take within a month not 2-3 months thats what they say.
