Linking my paper application to my online account and passport request

Hi every one,

I am wondering if I link my paper application to my online account using my GCKey, will I receive the passport request by email or through the online account? Knowing that in my application, I specified the preferred correspondence method to be email.

You will probably get your passport request through an email and it will go to the applicant.

In my personal experience the only time my GC Key alerted me to anything was a medical request for my 3 step children.
Once again to tell me my status updated to being finalized and our application being approved.

It is definitely a good thing to have it linked, and I would recommend doing it so they can contact you if you need to submit anymore documents etc. It also does have some info albeit slow to update.

ECAS is also another good way to stay informed of your application.

If you have a representative though you will not be able to link to GC Key only ECAS
