But the results are coming up with so many other things, impossible to find

The application is online, but when i try to link it to my account
It says it cannot find it

I tried several ways

Any tricks to it?

It could be you + your husband = 2.
I checked my AOR letter and it says 3, i guess they count me, husband and his daughter even if she is not coming.

Hey msb,

I went through the same issue earlier but was able to link my application in the 6th attempt.
I too was locked out for 24 hours but I created another account with a different GC key so that I could try link the application again without wasting precious time.
Also, later on after raising technical issue with CIC, I received email from them asking me to create a different GC key. So that is completely all right.

Dont' try various combination of data. The steps mentioned by prvc are correct and I would recommend you to use what prvc has suggested.
I tried the same thing and was able to link my application.

It was kind of weird for me as well to enter the Number of applicants as "2" instead of "1" but it really worked whatever the reason may be.

So, Login to your account, Select application class, Enter information for application number and family name.
Imp => In City of Birth, do not actually enter your City of Birth. Rather insert a space by pressing the spacebar key so that the form does not validate you. Select Country of Birth.
Number of Applicants "2" in your case.
This must do the job for you.

What data you enter here doesnt matter (eg. entering no. of app as "2") since this data is just being used for searching your application. So go ahead and good luck to linking :)

Try mo these steps:

Not mine. Credit goes to the owner.

"1. Logged in with GC Key account.
2. Permanent Residence > Family Class (Spouses)
2. Application Number and Family Name - Copy/pasted application number from email (including the F) and entered PA's last name. If you don't have App Number, use Family Name, Birthday, Place of Birth
3. City of Birth - I entered 1 space (hit spacebar once)
4. Country of Birth - Selected PA's country of birth
5. Passport Info - Did not enter any passport info
6. Other Application Info - Filled out the other application info as per our application and put '2' as the number of members in the application."
These steps were very helpful. Thank you. Finally it was able to find 1 application but its asking me disassociate my representative in order to get access myself.

Read about it here (includes one example of an approach to linking that has been successful for a number of people).

http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Spousal_Sponsorship-Canada/FAQ_-_New_Application_Forms#All_about_MyCIC

I tried 22 times using different combinations and permutations over several days and only succeeded on my 23rd attempt! It is a 'dark art' (and the most stupid way I have ever seen to access your application - why not just email you a once only code like most 'normal' portals!!).

What actually worked for you? I have tried about 100 times times (no joke) and have still been unsuccessful. I've read all the little tricks.

The one described in the article.

The 'trick' (to whichever key data combination approach you select) seems to be to enter the bare minimum of information that the validation will allow by the simple expedient of enter one item and hit submit, it will then tell you what fields are mandatory and ONLY fill those in. The fewer bits of information you type in the smaller the chance that they typed something different at the visa office.

I am in no way guaranteeing success by using the method stated or saying that it is any sort of magic key etc., only that it is one methods that seems to have worked for a few people now. But I have also seem reports from others that nothing they tried worked and they have given up.

As I say, it is a really stupid method they are using!

It is such a really odd method isn't it?!
I am going to try a new user account again and see if that works. If not then I guess I'll be on the list of giving up and just have to rely on ecas.

Thanks

Yes i know i can create another key but i rather wait
I use scotia to login anyway
And it would be 3 not 2 for me
I was putting 1 however but i checked my AOR letter it says 3
