I also was frustrated like many of you, especially after getting locked out. Try creating another GC Key to give yourself more attempts.

To sponsor a spouse (no children) for permanent residence, I used the combination of: Application Number and Unique Client Identifier (UCI).

I also chose the "Passport" option for Applicant's personal information.

I also inputted "2" for Number of family members that are part of the application.

this account link thing is driving me crazy now! have tried all given suggestions. and nothing is working out so far..

City of Birth - I entered 1 space (hit spacebar once) doesn't work anymore. it wont let me go through until i put city name

I just tried a few more times and no luck.

when you filed it out as the sponsor, did you use your UCI number? and when it asks "Applicant's personal information" "place of birth" did you put you as the sponsor's place of birth, or the place of birth of your spouse? I tried both ways but still didn't work, but for future tries I don't want to waste attempts doing the wrong thing.

allowed 5 tries in a day, and ran out of attempts now

try to use your first and last name instead of last name.. it didn't work for me with LAST name. but it worked when when i tried with first and last name.. thanks

I saw somewhere on the web-site that application to be a sponsor can't be linked, it is only for pr application, so all info to be entered is about the main applicant for pr (sponsored person). Worked for me (parents sponsorship)

Interesting. I will try that now. So both sponsor and applicant CAN link ? I'm reading conflicting answers

I'm a sponsorer. and i successfully linked my wife's file..

all you need is application number and your partner's info..

Yes. My issue or question is how do i link as sponsor? My husband did not get AOR email but I the sponsor did. Before I got my email tho I tried to link his app by using UCI he had from previous work permit and it worked. But me as the sponsor can't link anything. I've seen some say only the PA can do it and others have said both have done it. I tried every combination for myself and it just won't let me. weird seeing as I got AOR and cant. but yet he didn't get AOR and could lol

Also wondering if only I got the sponsorship aor cuz I'm his rep a anyways

Use same. You can just click "link another application" then you can just give him the log in information if he wants to check on it
