I received an email today from immigration asking me to LINK my application. They said to follow the instructions. When I do so and put in all required information It says it can't find my application.

Does anyone know why or what this means?

Thanks

TONS of people have this problem and many people find different things that work for them

Try this:
Not mine. Credit goes to the owner.

"1. Logged in with GC Key account.
2. Permanent Residence > Family Class (Spouses)
2. Application Number and Family Name - Copy/pasted application number from email (including the F) and entered PA's last name. If you don't have App Number, use Family Name, Birthday, Place of Birth
3. City of Birth - I entered 1 space (hit spacebar once)
4. Country of Birth - Selected PA's country of birth
5. Passport Info - Did not enter any passport info
6. Other Application Info - Filled out the other application info as per our application and put '2' as the number of members in the application."

Always use the Principal Applicant's info.
If this doesn't work, search the thread for other people's solutions. And keep trying different thing, though I believe there is a limit to how many time you can try to link in 24 hours.
Good luck! :)

Okay thanks it just kicked me out for trying more than 5 times. Will try back again tomorrow.

I had the same problem for long time but i managed a while ago. Sometimes its a technical prob with the system. Also dont put any info for the passport. Plus hit a space bar once on the city of birth. All the best.

After you login with GCkey or Sign-in partner account, you click on Link App to this Account button. Choose Permanent Residence in category and Family Class (Parents & Grandparents) in sub-category. This will open all the required fields you will need to fill up.
There are 4 different combinations you can select in app details. I would recommend App No. & Family Name. This worked in my case
City and country : Entre space
In the passport section : left blank
Match the city and province name you entered in the original app.
The most tricky part is the Number of Family Members. In most cases, this needs to match exactly how you declared your family size in the original app. For a family of 6 (sponsor+ sponsor's spouse+2 kids+ both parents)

and should note that as far as I know and what I have also found, is the sponsor can't link, just the applicant

I'm the sponsor and I linked.

really? hmm ok I heard wrong, I have never been able to link and tried everything, I gave up when others told me that sponsors can't link

wonder what your method was that was successful

Honestly I don't remember what combination of things worked but I remember it was something I had tried a bunch of times before. I figured, in my case, they just hadn't put my application online before that point.

I just tried a few more times and no luck.

when you filed it out as the sponsor, did you use your UCI number? and when it asks "Applicant's personal information" "place of birth" did you put you as the sponsor's place of birth, or the place of birth of your spouse? I tried both ways but still didn't work, but for future tries I don't want to waste attempts doing the wrong thing.

allowed 5 tries in a day, and ran out of attempts now :(

I tried entering the space bar after city of birth, and it didn't work. I have reported a technical problem directly from the account, and filled out an IRCC Web form. Hopefully they get back to me. I suspect it may be that they have not uploaded my hubby's info yet. I am the sponsor and only received my first AOR. I have not received sponsor approval. Submission date was april 25th 2017, they received on the 27th. Process started on the 25th of May. We got just 7 days to link the account and its been unsuccessful
