So this question might seem a little dumb. LOL. 8)
But I was just wondering where to attach an explanation letter. Like where in my application package?
I wrote a few lines explaining something concerning my employment.
Should I put that letter together with the document checklist on top of my application package,
or in the part where I put my letter of reference, t4 and noa?

And yes, I used the search function but couldn't find anything :D

2nd option. I did the same by placing the letter as per the checklist.

Agreed! You should put it according to the checklist and which section it addresses.....I did the same with my explanation letters, when I was explaining multiple parts to my application. Got AOR after and just waiting now. Good luck! Oh and remember, there is instruction on the checklist on what to include in your explanation letter.

There are instructions? Can't seem to find them. Only the part where it says that if you can't
submit documents you have to attach a letter explaining why and point out other documents that can support your case.
I only need to clarify something, and want to point out days I was off unpaid which are not mentioned
in my letter from my employer.
So I can't seem to find instructions that fit ma situation...

Not instructions per say....just that you need to include your name and form title on the extra sheet of paper you are attaching.

For example:

John Doe

DOCUMENT CHECKLIST
Permanent Residence – Canadian Experience Class (IMM5610E)

Item 10 - Work experience in Canada

--- or ---

John Doe

SCHEDULE A
Background/Declaration (IMM5669E)

Question 8 – Personal history

Yeah, CEC2013 is correct. These are two different things. Explanation letter and extra sheet of paper.
