Leaving to go back home cbsa passport return at airport or home country??

Basically I am an accepted protected person but am not happy and requested cbsa to return my passport so I can go back home.

They said they will return my passport at the airport but I am reading other posts where people say they don’t actually get their passports at the airport it is given to the crew and only on return to their home country do they get it back.

I can’t let this happen I need them to return the passport directly to me at the airport

Does anybody have direct experience with cbsa passport return at the airport? Do they give the passport to you or the flight crew?

Are you sure? I’ve seen about three postings on the forum where they say it was given to the flight crew

I could be very wrong but I think the passport is only handed over to designated crew member in case of deportation… if ones visa is refused at the port of entry, one has received removal order etc.

You will NOT get your passport handed to you directly . It’ll be handed to the crew

And it’s not what you want at this stage , it’s what the policy is

Won’t be given back until you’re at your destination. Too many get it back and then subsequently destroy it , that’s why
