Leaving country after applying for Spousal PR for a month

I am hearing some saying that you are not supposed to Leave the country after applying for Spousal PR. Is that true? people go on vacation all the time so beveling this seems to be tough.

If yes, how long can we go?

Under a month for vacation if rest of your time clearly living in Canada, you'll most likely be fine.
