Hi all, my PR application has been approved and I am planning to make a quick trip (1 week maybe) to go through the landing process, apply for my PR card etc and return home to wrap up my affairs before making the final move (I have family who are citizens so I was planning to use their mailing address for the card and they will courier it back to me).

My questions for anyone who has done this before:

1. If I land in Canada on a return ticket will that create any problems?
2. What sort of questions does the CBSA agent ask when you land?

Thanks for any info / advice.... after waiting 7 years for this I certainly don't want to screw it up now!

1) No problem - Just that you might need to get a travel document to return to Canada if you don't have a valid PR card
2) See this link for other posters' landing experience: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/compilation-of-landing-experiences-t164507.0.html

I have the PR card and landed in 2011 july and i came back to my home town and not able to travel due to some issues.
My PR visa is valid 2016 sept. Is I am eligible to go back to canada and get the PR ? because I couldn't meet the exact no of days I need to be stay there.
But If I go now , i am planning to stay there as permanent.

Could you please clarify. ?
