LCP - Submitting Passport in Person at the Hong Kong Embassy - How Long?

My nanny in HK told me she still need to give a month termination notice to her employer. It means I still need to wait for another month after her visa stamp.
Pls share your experience. How soon your nanny can come to canada?

it depends on the employer, if the employer allow her to go immediately but she will pay one month of her salary. but if she will give one month notice your nanny will not pay them.

and maybe her employer ask her to give one month notice is because there so busy no time to take care of there child so the employer need her to wait for her replacement.

Thank God, I have received my passport request letter after 5 months and 3 weeks waiting. But I still need to wait my renewed passport till this end of October. In God's perfect time, He will give what we are praying and wishing for.

Application Submitted by nanny we are looking to hire (medical and all other requirements verified): July 1
Nanny Started Passport Renewal process: July 18
Nanny Received tracking ID: August timeframe
Checked online for status: "Your Passport Status": August Timeframe
Nanny Received Renewed Passport: September 26
Currently waiting on next step - Her Friends are starting to get their letters and applied a month earlier in June.

Therefore the 4-5 month timeline seems to be holding true.

Hooray! I got my visa together with the introduction letter for the work permit. It took only 3 days after the submission to the CVAC. In God's perfect time, He will grant what are we praying for!

Congrats! When they requested your documents based on your timeline did that include the proof of income from your employer?
We are hoping the nanny we are looking to hire gets the passport request soon. She completed all her requirements including medical in July. We are just waiting patiently.

Hi, yes the CIC requested my employer's proof of income and they sent it directly to the CIC Hk email address. In God's will and perfect time it will come. Anyway it's just 3 days to return back the passport with visa, so upon receipt of request, submit immediately.

Thank you. If you submitted it already, it should have a confirmation from the CIC once it sent informing that they received your email. This is based on our experience.

Hi leaf1977 you mean you gave your proof of income together with all the requirement? If that so, you just wait for 5 mos. base from your timeline.

denyelay - yes I received the automatic response that the email was received. That's the closest to confirmation we have.

Yes - that's what we are waiting on as well. It is 4 months from July1, or 3 months if I count from when I submitted my proof.
Yes - the nanny we are looking to hire is using an agency. They are saying basically the same thing, wait patiently. Hopefully it is soon, as we are coming up to the holidays where I am sure that will increase the timelines further.
