Dude your back ground checks are still under way. For some applicants it takes a long time due to unknown reasons like may be your name matches with some one wanted on their criminal data base, due to long travel history, people who had worked for govt or armed forces, number of police certificates you provided, number of countries you have lived in past etc. Just give it some more time and hopefully you will get your visa. Also try sending an email and enquire why its taking so long and tell them you are suffering from emotional trauma and your life is upside down because of this and you have missed many opportunities because of this. Write good email, it does help. Good luck...

Thanks for your quick reply.

But all I am concerned is why is it taking 1.5 years to do a crininality check. If still my name gets matched with some criminal..lol which is not, they can figure out within a spam time of 1 year. But more then 1 year doesnt make any sense to me.

Sure bro ,

Quick Question to GCMS experts here. Mine Medical was done in July 2012 & passports were submitted at the same time. I got my GCMS a month ago & it says Criminality - In Progress & security not started. But as i heard that Security & criminality check begins after medical.
So why is it taking more then 1 year for these checks ?

RPRF - Completed

Under Assesment

Eligibility - Passed
Security - Not Started
Criminality - In Progress
Medical - Passed.

Need Help Friends. Thanks

SORRY FOR THE LATE RESPONSE.
TO ME YOUR FILE IS UNDER GOING ROUTINE BACKGROUND CHECKS. NOW I DO NOT HOW MUCH TIME WILL TAKE BY NEW DELHI VISA OFFICE.
AS FOR AS CHC LDN OFFICE IS CONCERNED, THE TIME IS ALSO VARIED CASE TO CASE. IN MY CAS MY BG CHECKS WERE STARTED IN AUGUST, 2011 AND IN THE 2ND WEEK OF THE MARCH, 2013 I RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM CHC LDN, STATED THAT THE RESULT OF THE BACKGROUND CHECKS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED FOR MY FILE, SO THIS JUST ONE REAL EXAMPLE AND AN IDEA OF BG CHECKS. SOME PEOPLE SAYS THAT BECAUSE OF THE TRAVEL HISTORY IT TOOK SO LONG TIME, WHICH IS AT LEAST CORRECT IN MY CASE AS I HAVE A LONG TRAVEL HISTORY.
SUPPOSE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A TRAVEL HISTORY, THEN IT ALSO COULD BE THE REASON THAT YOU MAKE SOME MISTAKE IN YOUR FILE AND AT THE END YOU CORRECTED BUT THEY STILL STUCK TO INVESTIGATING THAT POINT ETC.
ONCE YOUR BG CHECKS OVER, SOON YOUR FILE WILL REVIEWED, RESULTING FOR PPT REQUEST.
REGARDS,

Mohinder, I have seen it has taken even 3-4 years for some people to get their back ground checks done. Nobody knows why. May be they are extremely unlucky. Like I said write them good email and express your concerns, may be they show some mercy on you. Good luck..

Hi,

my latest GCMS notes revealed the following:

Paper File Transfer from Registry to an Officer (two letters, followed by five digits), which is now also the current "Location" of the Paper File. This happened in August 2013.
Previously, the file was constantly in "Registry" as its location.

Has anyone here experienced a similar thing?
Does this indicate, that something is actually happening?

I have still not received anything substantial since my AOR.

yes, file tranfer history in gcms gives u the picure where is ur file, how often is file moved. If thete is movement , means there is movment othetwise in the store

I thought as much. But what does the movement indicate, if anything.
Because until this movement, it was continuously in "Registry", i.e. warehoused.

BC2013,

it's a good sign.it means your file is currently at a visa officer desk who is working on it and you should hear something soon from them.
good luck :)
