I would like to ask if i order GCMS notes, is it inconvenient to the visa office. Will it affect my application?
I would like also to ask someone how ordered GCMS note through a friend or relative in Canada, what they wrote in the receipt (whose name/date of birth…etc).

I could be wrong but from what I understood
s.16(1) was removed mean job verification was done.
s.19(1) was removed mean security was done.
still s.15(1) mean still some background check is due.

I could be wrong.

If you ask for the physical file, then it has to be retrieved, photocopied, reviewed, third party information removed, other information suppliers have to be contacted, to see if their information can be released, So 2/3 months minimum, before the file goes back into processing.

Physical file shows you exactly what is on the pages the VO is viewing in your file. GCMS contains the notes made by the VO.

Please help me on this.
I need to order GCMS notes, will it affect my processing time or be inconvenient to the VO.
Do I need to send them an email, or just filling the online application is enough. What about the receipt? Is there is any need to fill scan and send.
In the location of the file should it be written CIO (because I sent my application there) or VO indicated on my application.
Thanks in advance

a) If you have a relative / friend in Canada

As you have a relative / friend there it would cost you just $5. Its very easy. Your relative / friend will order this on your behalf and he will be the requester. It can be done by email and your relative / requester can send scan copies of everything. Your relative / friend will receive CAIPS / GCMS notes in his email.

First fill the following form but your relative / friend will sign it as he is the requester.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf

Then you will have to fill this consent form and sign yourself

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5475E.pdf

Now according to latest IMM5563E form you can even pay fees online if you are not living in Canada and there is no need to fill any credit card form. Pay fees online, get receipt, fill it and then scan and attach with application. Its very easy. Go to section C of the following form then follow other links given below.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf (See section C)

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp

https://eservicesak.cic.gc.ca/epay/lineofbusiness.do

After payment take 2 copies of print out of receipt. Keep one copy for yourself and attach other with application.

Ask your relative to provide copy of his Canadian passport or PR card and copy of his recent bill or bank statement as a proof that he is currently living in Canada

Ask him to scan everything and send everything by email to

atip-aiprp @ cic.gc.ca

b) If you don't have a relative / friend in Canada

try these websites. You will get in around 6-8 weeks.

a) http://www.caips.ca/
b) http://caipsnotes.com/index.shtml
c) http://www.caipsretriever.com/2006/03/immigrants-life-in-toronto-canada-ii.html
d) www.lawpoint.ca ($25 only)

Thank u for ur kind replay. I appreciate it a lot.
I am outside Canada. So my relative is going to request on my behalf.
Whose information should be written on the receipt (Name/DOB/address). My information or my relative information. In this thread I found two conflicting information (on page 2 and 11) about how to fill the receipt.
In Q3 in the consent form should I write CIO (since I sent my file to them) or the VO I indicated on my application package.

BF'D 2015

Hi,

I am june 2010 case under NOC 4131 and got medicals on 8th November 2012. My son who is already in Canada has got his medicals done from there only and now still waiting for DM since last 8.5 months got GCMS notes which says medicals not received for son in Canada which we got verified were sent to ottawa office by the concerned doctor well in time. Now the surprising thing is that my BF'D is 15th May 2015 . Does that mean I will have to wait till 2015 without my passports Medicals will expire too in Dec .. Following up with NDVO through mails no reply Any help will release our pressure thanks.
