I am starting this thread because of repeated enquiries on how to order latest CAIPS / GCMS and what forms we need to download. So here we go once for all. Many thanks.......

1) Sir Kanamen is doing it for free.

Sir Kanamen is offering CAIPS / GCMS for free. If some body wants to use him here is the link

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/caipesfree-offer-t88238.0.html

2) But if you want to order it on your own there are two ways.

a) If you have a friend / relative in canada it would cost you just $5 and you will get that in around 30 days.

b) If you don't have a relative or friend in Canada then you can get it from websites and it would cost around $25-$40 and you will get in six to eight weeks..

Check this

a) If you have a relative / friend in Canada

As you have a relative / friend there it would cost you just $5. Its very easy. Your relative / friend will order this on your behalf and he will be the requester. It can be done by email and your relative / requester can send scan copies of everything. Your relative / friend will receive CAIPS / GCMS notes in his email.

First fill the following form but your relative / friend will sign it as he is the requester.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf

Then you will have to fill this consent form and sign yourself

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5475E.pdf

Now according to latest IMM5563E form you can even pay fees online if you are not living in Canada and there is no need to fill any credit card form. Pay fees online, get receipt, fill it and then scan and attach with application. Its very easy. Go to section C of the following form then follow other links given below.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf (See section C)

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp

https://eservicesak.cic.gc.ca/epay/lineofbusiness.do

After payment take 2 copies of print out of receipt. Keep one copy for yourself and attach other with application.

Ask your relative to provide copy of his Canadian passport or PR card and copy of his recent bill or bank statement as a proof that he is currently living in Canada

Ask him to scan everything and send everything by email to

atip-aiprp @ cic.gc.ca

b) If you don't have a relative / friend in Canada

try these websites. You will get in around 6-8 weeks.

a) http://www.caips.ca/
b) http://caipsnotes.com/index.shtml
c) http://www.caipsretriever.com/2006/03/immigrants-life-in-toronto-canada-ii.html
d) www.lawpoint.ca ($25 only)

can somebody tell me where can I see the Bring forward date for ppr?
I am curious about the due date for my criminality and medical ..
"10-06-2012"..what does that mean?
what does due date means?
criminal check is also different from a security check?

Also, where can I find my assigned visa officer?

my caips request has 36 pages on it. It includes all the history
of my per, points at cio and Cem, I was shocked to learn na instead of starting from April 2008
to count my working exp, they started from Aug 2008..luckily,it
reached an exact 3 yrs of experience.whew!why did they skipped my 4 mos working
experience?maybe they mistakenly read it. I have also learned why I received
my PER very late..They've sent it on September 2011 but on a wrong email address,
sent another one on October 27,2011 after my inquiry per email.

all of my email inquiries was also recorded on my Caips.(including mr status inquiry etc)

when can we expect a PPR? or is the Manila Vo still clearing their backlogs? :o

Hi!

BFD doesn't mean your PPR will be issued on that date. Its just a date, immigration officer will review your file. To me it looks you got GCMS notes and not CAIPS? Am I right?

Both your criminality and medicals are ok as they have validity dates of 22-01-2014 and 1-11-2013 respectively. Forget about due dates.

Check the notes of visa officer at the end of your GCMS notes. In note no.9 at the end you might find initials of your visa officer like RIH,CKL,LBM etc Thanks

thanks so much :)

A very common question

When we order GCMS what is the actual date it showed? Is it the date we order or When the report actually generated?

1) GCMS is newer version of CAIPS and easily understandable.

2) You will find the name of visa officer at the end of his notes. Check note 9. Can you see three alphabets there at the end of note like RIH,CKL,LBM etc. thats the name of your visa officer. you can also see his / her name in his email received to you from your visa office. Check end of email. It should be from RIH, CKL,LBM etc, Program assistant.

3) Validity means your criminality, medical etc will be valid till that date.

4) Criminal check means you have no criminal record from the country you have resided in or the countries you lived for 6 months or more. Its the police clearance you submitted.

5) Security means you are not a security threat to Canada. It is verified by Canadian security agency and many other agencies around the globe. Thanks

It can be or can't be the same date you make your request. My first GCMS order date was 23 Jan but extracted date on notes were 15 Feb and I got that on 24 Feb. Thanks

Hi cocknbull,

Thanks for this great write-up. I am planning to apply for caips through a friend (Permanent Resident) of mine living in Canada.
Now this might sound like a stupid question- but there does not seem to be enough space in IMM5563E form for my spouse details (Family name, Given name, dob etc). You have mentioned 2nd, 3rd and 4th row- are these rows even possible in this form? and how do i tick consent included?

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf

am i missing something?

Regards.

>>
Hi!

1) You will only need one IMM5563E form to be filled for whole family. In that put your details in first row if you are principal applicant like ( family name, given name, date of birth and tick consent included). In 2nd,3rd,4th row put details of all your dependents like your wife and children and put their details like their family name, given name, dob. Tick the box consent included for your wife as she is over 18 and her consent is also included but do not tick the box consent included for your children because they are under 18 years of age and their consent is not needed.
