Hello Every one...Happy New Year!

Finally after waiting for over 5 weeks, I got my confirmation of PR and Immigrant stamping on passport. But now comes a question of whether I can land first before the PR expiry date and bring family over later or all of us needs to land before the PR Visa expiry date?

Principal Applicant has to land first. Your family can land later before Immigration visa gets expired.

Thanks! Since I will be landing in May & visa expires in June , all of us have to land together.

BTW< Since I applied through CEC category, I wonder whether they would still ask for funds to be proved...Anyone has experience?

Nope . Though CBSA may ask how much you are carrying while landing if you are travelling from your home country .

Since i am travelling from Australia and home country is india, i wanted to be clear with funds. i dont have 18,000 cad in bank for 3 people.

I can show $8000 cad and $ 3000 in usa bank. Would that be a problem? i want to be 100% sure....also,Can i show amount sitting on usa bank account as well? if required?
