I have sent passports for the landing visa, and I ll be landing/moving to Canada soon.
I wanted to ask a couple of questions:
I ll take all my belongings (furniture, etc.) and my car.
What do I need to show at the port of entry?
How do I import my car?
Do I have to list everything like furniture, kitchen pots and pans?
I am going to rent a truck,my car will be towed in the back of the truck. entering with a rental truck, would that be ok?
How long does it take to clear the entry process?
Also is Toronto a good place to live and find a job?
I know too many questions but I appreciate your experiences and comments.
Thanks!

You need to complete a B4 and B4a for your goods accompanying and your goods to follow, see: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/times-int/02a-skilled-fed.html
you don't have to itemize every thing, low value items you can put x boxes books nil value, but electronics, cameras and other high value items are listed with their serial no. Expensive Jewellery (especially in goods to follow) should have an appraisal and pictures.

For importing a car see: www.riv.ca to see if it is importable. Assuming you are in the US, then you must export the car see: http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/export/export_docs/motor_vehicle.xml note you must have clear title.

Yes

How long does it take to clear the entry process?

Depends on the amount of goods and how throughly Customs checks them.

Also is Toronto a good place to live and find a job?

How do I determine the values? Estimated values?
Also do I pay import fees for everything or just for the car?
My car is an importable and I ll take it with me when I first land in.
Do I fax the title to the US border?
Thanks

1. Guess, estimated value.
2. No taxes or duties on settler effects.
3. Yes, 72 hours in advance.
