Hi All,

Sorry to ask you these questions that may have been asked many times ... but I have been through this forum and I have seen so many different information that I got completely confused ...

I will be doing my landing on August 15th 2017 at Calgary Airport, basically, what exact documents do I need to provide ?

I have seen on CIC website this page regarding the documents to bring for the landing :
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/newcomers/before-border.asp

But I have also seen many people on the forum stating that we need to bring 2 photographs for each members ?
Is it true ? and what for ?
Do we need to submit another 2 photographs (for each member) for the PR card while landing ?

Obviously, I will be bringing with me all my other important documents such birth certificate, certificate of marriage, diploma, certificate of employment/letter of reference, etc ...)

But basically, I was planning to submit the following docs (for each member of my family included in the PR) to the immigration officer for the landing process at Calgary Airport :
- passports + ETA (we are French thus visa exempted)
- COPRs
- Proof of funds (bank statements + updated bank letter)
- 2 copies of Settler's effects list (BSF186 form found here http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/forms-formulaires/bsf186-eng.pdf)
- Child Health Record Booklet (if requested by the immigration officer)

Am I all good with these above listed documents for a successful landing ? or am I missing some others documents ?

Thanks in advance for your inputs.
Cheers

You don't need eTA when landing with CoPR.

We needed the COPR and the passport, that's it. Those are the two most crucial documents, without which you will absolutely not be allowed in - or at least, you'll be detained for hours while they figure it out, I have no idea what happens here haha.

It's a good idea to carry other documents of course, even CIC recommends that. Things like your marriage certificate, proof of finances, etc. I had everything with me, but I was never asked for them.

The list of goods following is also recommended, but it's not mandatory. If you don't have it, they'll still let you in, but you will have to pay customs duty when you bring your stuff in. I had excel lists of everything that I gave the officer, and she made copies and filled out the BSF186 for us.

You have everything you need. Good luck with your landing and welcome to Canada!

Thanks 21Goose for your input and greetings :)
Thanks also for the BSF186 matter ... it was my last interrogation mark (as per my post here http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/list-of-goods-at-landing-question.511618/)

I have prepared Excel detailed lists of all items/goods that we will bring in to Canada but I still have doubt on how to fill in this BSF186 forms ...
Based on how the officer filled the form for you, do you think I can proceed as I explain on this post ? http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/list-of-goods-at-landing-question.511618/

Pleased to hear

I thought about filling in the form and then decided not to. The officer took 10 min to do it - she made copies of my lists, and on the form she just wrote "See attached" or words to that effect.

You can fill it however you like. If the CBSA officer doesn't like it,he/she will redo it. The important thing is your list of goods, the form isn't a big deal.

Thanks ;)
Have prepared the excel sheet and the BSF186 form with the summarized categories...
Will see how it works with the officer who will entertain us ;)
Thanks again
