Aww SQ, I'm so sorry for your frustration and upset right now.

The feeling of frustration will pass, and I hope whatever is wrong with your husband is diagnosed properly and he gets better soon! I know he's grateful you are here with him and enduring this by his side! From his perspective it would be a lot worse to be dealing with this alone, and also knowing that you are far away from him and you are feeling helpless because you can do nothing for him from so far away.

This is a phase, and a test, and you guys will come through this with flying colours, you will see. Hang in there, and focus on just being there for him, frustrated or not. The time will come when this will be a cautionary tale you will tell yourself, so you don't take for granted all you enjoy in Canada together. Until then, just keep on keeping on, and doing the best you can for him.

Its terrible. The world is truely not equal...WE as people are equal...but the worlds not. People in countries like Canada get valued higher than people in say Jamaica, Haiti, Africa. Because the problems are so large and the people are suffering, and its not easily fixed, they end up getting treated like dogs. Its funny because I know somone who just volunteered as a nurse in Haiti and the way people talk about it afterwards...its like they rate them lower because of the poverty. Not in a mean way...its just...i dont know how to explain it...more like people accept the suffering of people in countries like Jamaica and Haiti because they don't have to suffer it themselves and its beyond their control If a Canadian had to suffer the healthcare failures the way people in some countries do..imagine the outrage. Does anyone get what I mean? And I HATE it....I hate seeing people whose lives are worth just as much as everyone in Canada or the US, get treated like theirs means less!

It just makes me ill. I have to watch my husband get crap medical treatment like his life is not worth as much as mine and my husbands life is worth a million of me in my opinon. I'm tired of watching people suffer...and I'm tired of watching people in Jamaica suffer illnesses and die of things that could have been fixed if the medical system was proper.

I have some nursing background so sometimes I just go out and do stuff for people in my neigbourhood. I go and get salve and bandages and clean and dress a elderly ladies diabetic foot, especially since her toes fell off, and nobody else will touch it. Everyones afraid. Its a small thing to do, but it makes me feel like I'm at least doing something! I dunno...probably I'm a bit over dramatic today...its just I've watched alot of people I care about here in Jamaica go through different aspects of the medical system this year and get crap treatment!! I know someone who recently died of a cancer that could have been prevented if they doctor had diagnosed it right a year and a half before it got to bad to cure!

Thanks CharlieD!! And thanks everyone for letting me rant and get it off my chest!! Lovin my forum peeps!

i'm glad that it's over forsure, hubby lil pissed he'll get over it and i'd rather do what immi sends in the mail then the police office rt now. we've com 2 far to be lazy and stupid rt now. i want a husband here not more paperwork. thanks everyone you always make me feel better whew

too funny togirl, love em. kuma, happy your hubby went to kg to get it done, as chelley stated the individual giving him the mobay info won't be the one that requested him to go to KG. The IO who requested it will likely be his case manager and may be a little pissed that he didn't do as asked and tell him to redo it out of spite. 1 more extra trip to KG would likely tick your hubby off more.
SQ, your journey will soon be over and this will all be forgotten, you'll back and wonder why you let these little things get you down. Be strong for your family and vent here all you want, thats why we're here.
chelley, wat gwaan, you good

Thanks Canuck and everyone.

I just did an hour cardio workout and worked up a redfaced sweat...so I feel alot better and more in control. Exercised my frusteration out.

You guys on here are a godsend sometimes. People who are not in our shoes often struggle to understand....so I appreciate the family style support of this online community in both threads!! Thank you!

Glad to hear it, SQ! I have taken up walking lately, I do 5K 3 times a week (weather permitting) and it has been really good for me! The exercise burns off a lot besides calories, doesn't it? I take out all my frustrations on the track, and then head home to a good night's peaceful sleep :D

togirl2011: That second joke was a really sweet one, definitely for us married folks. ;D

Smoothie: I'm just seeing your post and i don't think your over emotional at all, i agree with you. I respect you too for going out there and helping people with whatever you can do. Jamaica would be a better place if more people were like that.

Just wondering if any of the older members had to redo their medical and how long after they did it did they hear from Kingston.

Proper, so far we have 3 active users who have all been requested to re-do their meds. One was advised this week (kuma), one a week ago (iambless) and one about 4 weeks ago (mylilangel). So, we are seeing that so far a maximum of 4 weeks additional time has been added for re-do of medical and PCC.

Damn Charlie you always on the ball girl!!! I think we should have a ASK CHARLIE FORUM!
;)

Bahaha Irving. Just call me Dear Abby! :P :P
