I love hearing all the updates about short waits for interviews!!!!! :D so exciting. Best of luck to everyone!!!

I'm curious- our package was received on Monday, but have yet to receive any word (other than Canada Post confirming it was received and signed for). I was wondering how long it took before you received word that it was received so you could link app to online account? I'm so paranoid and letting myself think that it was randomly dropped off somewhere it shouldn't be.

:D I was afraid the same thing could've happened. They received our package December 30 and AOR received January 17.

Hi everyone, I have been checking out this forum day for the last few weeks and I think it time I share my story but first let me say Congratulation!!!! to everyone that has received quick and positive news from CIC and KVO.

I submitted my application in July 2016, My application was received by CIC on July 14, 2016, my husband was approved to be my sponsor on August 24, 2016 and application transferred to Kingston Visa Office. KVOffice started processing my application on September 6, 2016. To my surprise I got an email on November 16, 2016 inviting me to do my interview on December 21, 2016 include in this email KVO requested - Birth Certificate, RPRF, Police Certificate and Communication proof.

December 21, 2016 brought in all requested documents presented them to my interviewer. My interviewer and I had a good exchange answer all her questions then she told me I have been approved and I should start packing we would contact you in 2 weeks...........As of today I haven't heard from them at all........since calling is a waste of time I opted to email them, email sent on the January 11, 2017 I'm yet to hear a word.

1 month 5 days and counting..........

Well it is definitely a good sign if she verbally told you that you are approved. I wonder why she just didn't issue the visa on the spot like many other people we have heard about. I hope you get a response soon.......For those of us that have upcoming interviews could you share some more details about the questions you were asked in your interview.

Thanks

Yes, after CIC approval you send another bunch of forms to Quebec. Then Quebec will send your CSQ to Kingston. Kingston will start processing your application even before they receive the CSQ.
We received the email for the interview before we received the CSQ...
That's amazing, I'm so happy for you.
And thank you for the great info

For that week apparently all the persons within that department went home for the holidays or I would of received the visa that same day. That explanation seemed a bit odd but I wasn't the only one to receive that reasoning and I was just relieved to be approved. However one of my high school classmates had interview the same day as me and was given the same reason. Since then she was contacted and a visa was issued last week. At this point both me and my husband are just annoyed at this situation cause there's not much that can be done from our ends. The thing that has me uneasy is that others have gone to interviews and received visa on the spot. But I'm still hopeful and trying to remain as positive as I can be.

Try emailing the place in canada which you had send of he package to process before reaching ja. Let ur husband question them about the issue he's having now in kingston visa office then they will contact them for you.
Good luck wish u the best.

There was another case similar to urs that had a successful interview back in November and only got passport request last week. I also know of another case of a successful interview on Dec 15 and is still waiting for passport request too so it happens but not often.

Also check your junk mail you never know .....

My husband has called 1-888-242-2100 this morning, they informed him that because the application is with KVO they don't have access to any information on my application and we should contact KVO. They sent him KVO email address for us to contact them. My husband told them it has been more than two weeks since we sent them an email with no reply, his response was "there nothing we can do on this end you just have to wait."

Questions I was asked during my interview

1. How my husband and I met?
2. What I plan to do when I move to Canada?
3. How many kids do we want to have?
4. What occupation my husband and I have?
5. How often do we see each other and who visits who?
6. If I have been to Canada? What did I do when I went? How long did I stay for?

You should tell your husband to contact his MP, they will follow-up on your behalf. I have seen many posts where people have got quick responses this way.....thanks for the interview questions as well

Yes I was told that I would be approved back in November and was handed back all my documents to include proofs sent with the application. I was told I'll be contacted in 2-6 weeks and heard back from them in 8 weeks. My file is now approved and closed thanks be to god.
