I hope everyone Friends and Family stay safe as Hurricane Matthew heads towards Jamaica.

Please everyone take the hurricane warnings seriously, be prepared and be safe. Praying for everyone.

Good Morning forum family. I'm new to the forum... however I've been reading through the pages and I got so many information that I found very helpful. I believe in this time of temporary separation from our other half we need friends to support us. So here is my timeline:

Application filed: April 26 2016

Me and my soulmate got married for almost one year now. I have a 2 month old son that never seen his father and needs his daddy. This is so hard cause it's just me alone... my mom came up to help me out for a few weeks but now she's gone back it's so stressful. This baby cries non stop most days. I just can't get much done. Now with Mathew become category 5 I'm sooooo worried. Gilbert was a category 5 hurricane and so many ppl lost their life. My husband lives in this house where the roof leaks and there's a huge tamarind tree that leans towards the house and the owner refuses to cut it down. I just hope and pray it doesn't gain more strength

I am worried for my husband family has well. Luckily, my husband is out of the country for the weekend at a fitness competition. I know they are starting to set up shelter, he might want to head to one of those for the weekend. Where on the island is he?

Good news. It has weakened this morning back to a category 4

Hi everyone, Do you have to use the Kingston Visa Office for processing. My hubby has both his Canadian and US Visa. I heard Buffalo is fast.
Is this just a rumour? Please help. PS, this thread has been very helpful. Thank you so much.

CIC is the one that determines the Visa office used

My hubby has his US visa also but the CIC still chose KVO.

Awww :( sending love and prayers to you and yours and all of those who are at risk with this hurricane. It is hard enough on a good day being apart from our loved ones, but in times of impending danger it makes it even more difficult...

You can by pass the g2 and do your g test my husband just did this. All he had to do was give them the letter write the test and take some in car lessons book his g and he got it he didn't need a g2 test before the g test

Good Morning Everyone, I'm late to the conversation because I've been busy with preparation for Hurricane Matthew. Having said that I pray and hope that you all will make every effort to be safe and secure during this period.

Secondly I do not wish to labor on the matter of the Canadian Drivers License but PatietlyWaiting you have shared the same point I have in my original explanation. I did the same thing your husband did and got my license on the first try. NB: The G2 Exit Test is also known as the Highway Test or the G Test... G2 Exit Test because it is the test done at the end of the G2 stage to move forward to getting the full G License whether someone skips the g2 stage or not.

Thirdly the letter can be obtained from a local Tax Office in Jamaica. I would do that to make the process easier.

Hope everyone is staying safe in Jamaica... thinking of everyone at this terrible time... I heard the embassy closed down? I would imagine so, anyone hear anything more?
