No way! my hubby is from a town 15 minutes from browns town...spent alot of time in BT when I was there.

The driving record should run you at $3500 jmd which should be about $37cad and the international license is free... Him just have to have 2 passport pic and his jamaican drivers license.... yes the tax office is where go go and get those things

How long have you had your Jamaican license if you don't mind me asking? Because I heard that you have to have it for a number of years before you qualify for this. Glad you're settling in well and achieving so much already. You deserve it after reading about all you've went through!

Kool.......they told me i need a driving record from the Jamaican consulate genral in Toronto or back in Jamaica....but mi soon get the letter they ask for though and it good to have that letter for insurance also to prove to them that we have been driving for a very long time

Also, for the driving history is it full license only or also the learners??

Oh, ok. But I mean you have to have your Jamaican license for years before? Or is a learners ok also? As in my hubby has had his learners for years. If he were to get his full license say 5 months before coming here would be still be able to fast track having that he's had a learners? Sorry if I'm confusing lol

I would assume you would have to have a full license but I don't know for sure. My hubby had his JA license at least eight years before applying for his Canadian one.
