We're in BC - however he was originally in Toronto. I believe he was here with a TRV and that it expired 2 years ago. Apparently, an old boss of his called him in- however, during my search for him I also came across old court documents from 2013 showing he had been charged with the following in BC "810. (1) An information may be laid before a justice by or on behalf of any person who fears on reasonable grounds that another person". This makes me wonder if he perhaps isn't revealing the whole story to his family... He apparently had an immigration warrant out for his arrest for two years. I have a feeling the criminal charge led to him being contacted by immigration and that he ignored them, leading to this. Apparently he also had paid a lawyer recently to try and help him to get out of this situation, and the lawyer had him fill in some papers, but they were never submitted because of missing details that were needing to be filled in...

There are still many holes in the story. Its frustrating because I have no way of speaking with him directly (apparently he is being detained in an institution where he can only make collect calls, and my cell phone carrier does not accept them ) All I can do right now is wait for Tuesday to try and get more facts and hope for the best...

Hopefully on his next hearing day you will be updated and clearer on wat is happening and has happened then you will be able to know the next move. Lots of very knowledgeable and experienced persons are on this forum and will be able to help out as best they can. We are rooting for u guys..and as shorty said...try not to stress too much as u will need to be able to make it thru for both of you. Hang in there....

I spend a lot of time on this forum (not just our thread), but reading tons of stories and questions and answers so i can find out what will help us out (if possible). Im far from expert level tho and I will be wrong sometimes but not afraid to admit it or apologize. I never want to seem like a know it all so plz if im coming across that way, let me know! This place belongs to us all and I enjoy chatting with you all. Its really really helped me with one of my biggest dreams.... To have my family complete. Lets go KIN VO! I am returning to Canada this weekend on a weekend of giving thanks, celebrating what we have and what we are greatful for, and I am thankful for you guys and my family. And one day we will all have our spouses with us as long as we are determined and keep the faith.

hope everyone's doing well. 8)

i haven't been on the forum much... it's been a rough rough week for the hubby and i. we had a hugeeeeeeeeeeeee argument that seriously tested our marriage this week. i dont have to remind you guys how hard the distance is on a relationship at times. it often causes additional heavy weight on a relationship. anywho we're slowly making it back to normal ... sad he can't be with me and the fam to celebrate thanksgiving... but hopefully next year nuh pass hopefully lol. anyway the aim is still to get the application in my mid NOV so hope to be joining you guys soon in the count down process.

Awwww. We are here for ya babe! We alllllll know what you are going thru. Anyone who says its all a bed of roses isnt quite telling the truth, right. The long distance relationship is very hard and can get to us at some point. Glad to hear its on the mend tho. Xoxo
