Hi All, a friend of mine & hubby who's file was transferred to POS & has a timeline slightly behind Mrs P's got an email yesterday for a new police check, meds redo & passport to POS. Looks like they are working to clear Kingston outta their space! So good to see so much movement. Thanks to all you lovely ladies, I was also also able to let them know about the DHL/fedex dilemma so they can decide what is best for them! Thanks to all of you!

Yes I was really suprised too about it, thats why I asked all of them so see if it is the same for all and yes it is!!

And you girl? No communication yet? You should email PoS and ask them if they have tried to contact your husband since you see In Process. Me I would do for sure since everyones in PoS got an email or a call before seeing In Process right? Just tell them you want to make sure because you don't want to lose time. I don't know if it is because I had a bad experience but when I got my sponsorship approval I never received the letter. I called and they said, sorry Mrs, we were supposed to send a letter and it never happened, we don't know why. So I received the letter on Jan 28 instead of Jan 13. If I would have not called, I would have never knew I was approved. ! I don't trust their communication system anymore!

Great minds think alike Mel I did email them yesterday to ask if they sent communication bc I saw the in process. They replied this morning (POS is definitely on the ball) to say that they have reviewed my file but no communication has been sent as of yet. They also said that they will communicate through email. It truly is a fine line of...when are you bugging them and when can they provide you with information. Just happy that POS didn't leave me in limbo too long and I am much relieved when they said that I didn't miss the communiation. NOW I just need them to send me a darn email so I can see what I need to send them so that hubby can be home for Christmas!!

Hello Pinky! Thanks for checking in with us! How has hubby adjusted to Canada? Glad we can help your friend out with some of our knowledge. Let us know if they go with DHL or Fedex and when they get their PP back for timing.

It's Wednesday, got add. docs request on a Wednesday and my PPR on a Monday seven open days later, so I say you'll be requested for everything at once before next Monday November 17 ;D Loving hubby under the Christmas tree

We had to do new 2 passport pictures. The cost to send with DHL is approx total of 12,000 JA. ($4000 to send back your docs and then almost 8500 to return the file with the passport) that's what DHL told me on the phone today at least.

So hubby got an email Monday asking him to send in his passport as soon as possible....I'm think that means approval right? They didn't specifically say you've been approved...just please send in your passport....odd....does anyone know how long it takes to get passports back?

They did not tell you to send a pre-paid enveloppe? They should asking for pre-paid enveloppe.....Hey congrats that means you guys approved and hubby is soon home! Yayyyyyyy !

That is wonderful and llllooonnng overdue for you cblgr! Was it KGN or POS that asked for the passport? They only asked for passport or was there additional documents that they needed (i.e. schedule A, redo PC or meds, etc.). Generally PP are returned in about 2-4 weeks it would seem lately. Good luck and keep us posted!

@ MelJam - You are right I forgot to mention that part...they did ask him to submit a pre paid envelope. He wasn't asked for his passport during the interview...but they did ask him to re-do his medical at the interview. So we resubmitted those about the middle of October.

@ Twoheartsonelove - Thanks for the info! Nothing else was requested in the email. He did redo his medicals mid October.
