I owe everyone an update because you've been such a support. July they asked for the landing fee. Sept they asked for police clearance and medical july . They cancelled that letter and instead sent out a denial letter Sept 24th No interview - nothing - just marraige in their opinion isn't genuine. 4 yrs of going back n forth. 4 yrs of pics n phone records. And now this. Sorry - in numb mode right now. Serious congrats Sammy! Very happy for you.

I am so so so so so sorry that KG made this mistake, Mrs. Davis. My heart aches for you and I have no words to make everything better. :'(

There are several people with LARGE age differences that have gotten through and I hope in this day and age that this isn't the reason your relationship wasn't deemed genuine. I will NEVER understand this process or how KG makes their decisions. I am completely baffled as to why KG requested so many things from you, didn't request an interview and then it ended in a denial. It makes absolutely no sense.

Please join the appeals thread and get the ball rolling and bring your man to Canada. It will be a long fight but you are a strong woman and you can handle this. You may want to reach out to WOF by pm and see what has transpired in her case. You may remember that she and her hubby have been married for eleven years and they were denied.

I wish you all the best, Mrs. Davis. :-*

So I just thought of something. They extended your meds and asked for rprf payment and no interview. That isn't right. As per the OP manual they HAVE to interview if they don't think the marriage is real. Also they wouldn't have extended your meds or ask for rprf payment.

You need to call your MP's office on Tuesday and question as to why there was no interview. That's your first step. Second step is to ask why they required payment and they extended your meds. As per the Cic website they will only extended meds when they are going to process your file and all that you need are valid meds.

I really hope this will work out but please don't let them win. You can't. Demand an interview!!! You are entitle to one!

IT IS PURE BS, Sammy!!!!!!

KG is such a hot mess!!!! Man, this process still burns me up when innocent people are treated unfairly!!!! CORRUPT!!!!!

Mrs Davis I don't think they denied you because of marriage been genuine" I think it's an excuse" I think they deny you because they OBVIOUSLY SEND OUT THE LETTER LATE, or the mailing system sucks and u didn't send in the requested documents on time! I think that is the reason and they just use that relationship not genuine! Because they have to have an interview before they can deny u! Don't let dem fool u and u pay so much money! U fight and prove dem wrong yah!

MrsD my heart sunk when I read your post! IMO I do not think you were denied bc of age bc as Sammy and Nev said there are others with big age gaps (well not sure how big yours is or what you consider big). Most likely the denial was bc they did not get your documents by their due date and lo and behold they are on top of THAT with their "decision made" and new denial letter. I think you need to contact your MP again and have HIM or HER contact KGN to sort this out. You cannot be denied without an interview at the very least! What exactly did the letter say if you do not mind sharing? Is it at all possible that the "denial" letter went out but then you sorted it all out with them and there is still another letter to follow? Please do not dispair as of yet!

Good luck and keep us posted!!

Maybe another set of notes might help ? Got some 2 wk's ago and they extended his med's till Jan. Makes no sense right now ???

YES definitely order notes ASAP...today if possible bc it should show WTF your VO was thinking and their reasons.

Oh my, so much going on the the forum today! Jah Canadian big congrats to you and hubby for getting the passport back with the brand new shiny visa in it, that was fast! Truly happy for you. I'm in my hectic departure preps, hubby and I are so excited we can't wait to see each other! In the mean time we are anxious to get his PP back in the beggining of next week, we loose a day of work since Monday is a statutary holiday, but remain confidend that we will receive it on time for him to fly back with me the next Sunday, please sweet Lord let it be so!!!

I was so disappointed by reading your post Mrs Davis. I really don't understand. Nothing was done the way it should and it really don't make any sense. Why should you be denied without an interview???? Why should they ask you to pay the permanent residence fees, extend your medical and deny you right after? Ask for help and fight to get answers. Doesn't look kosher to me

Mrs. Davis... You are in my thoughts and prayers... U have come this far... Please continue to be strong, by finding out what happened... As the others said order your notes, ask your MP for help, an immigration lawyer , Jamaican Consulate, etc.

Mrs. Davis,
I am at a loss for words but just wanted to let you know that I am wishing you and Mr. Davis strength and courage to get through this horrible mess. I'm praying that somehow there is a loop hole and the decision can be reversed without you having to go through the appeal process.
The injustice is so disheartening.
((Hugs))

Hello all-

Congrats SAMMY!!!! YAY! Congrats to everyone else on here with good news as well!

I have a simplified / hopefully somewhat easy question to ask:

Has anyone on the forum had to/ or has a spouse had to apply for a child passport? If so, was a PHOTO ID required???? Would a birth certificate for the parent of the child be enough ID ???

We had to get a passport for my husband's little one. Our official documentation was his original birth certificate but they wanted to see my husband's drivers license to prove his identity.

Hope this helps.

Mrs. Davis

My goodness, I am heart sick for you. I just can't imagine how you feel after coming so far and all the crazy you've gone through over the past couple of months.

I pray you will find some resolution to this mess soon.

Mrs. Davis, mom and I just finished praying for you. It is well. Don't fret, everything will work out in Jesus name. Amen.
