Does that mean they have to return to Jamaica in one year?

His PR card will be valid for 3-5 years (I don't remember exactly). After the first renewal is required his PR card will be valid for 10 years before needing to be renewed.

Hi everyone!! Sorry I've been MIA...my brothers wedding is this weekend so things have been hectic. I just wanted to let everyone know that hubby hot is passport back today ;D

I think I'm going to head in a week or so for a few days and then we will head back together.

My only worry is that the visa he was given was only for 1 year. Is that normal? I thought it was suppose to be 10 years :s

Anyways I'm still praying for everyone
Xx

Zoey

Congrats on hubby getting pp back Zoey! So exciting :D. Looking forward to your landing story in the next week or so.

Happy Labour Day JAMFAM!!

JAMFAM we have been quiet! Hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend. Let's hope that KGN (oh and I guess PoS now too) get out some (and by some I mean LOTS) PPRs this week. Let the chanting continue in the JA and CDN colours (and I want PoS to hear as well)....

Either way! some have gotten PPR from 2014 there! *fingers crossed*

No no one's called me back yet. I doubt that they will. It's all BS and I am beyond pissed off that they are doing this.

I just over looked comments on Port of Spain forum and yes indeed it looks like they are really faster than Kingston, but I see alot of interviews also after 10 months processing. Well girls, I think this will be help us and will fast track our apps. Crossed fingers!

Sammy try calling Ottawa again and just be patient. Your PPR is coming VERY VERY soon!!

I am hoping and praying that KGN is SUPER BUSY working on clearing out the lingering Apr-Aug files (Sammy, Mrs D, Jboo, Cafe Latte, etc.) that they sent some of the Oct files to PoS so that they can start on them right away. If you are a Sept/Oct/Nov applicant can you try calling CIC to ask where your file is Kgn or PoS??!?

I saw that some were fast and then there are a few lingering on from 2012 with quite a few interviews happening in PoS. Ugh...sigh...makes me worry but yet I am hopeful that our files will be looked at sooner. We are now entered in two lotteries it would seem...KGN and PoS!

I agree. I have PPR, hubby due to arrive in 8 days, and I still get fired up over this process... another member who already has her husband recently said that to me as well. I can't understand this process for the very life of me! When we joke around about it being the "Kingston Lottery", we are really not kidding.

I honestly used to think that quite a few members must be lying about their apps and what is truly going on in their life (which is their business to do so), but I'm very wrong as I have become close with quite a few members outside of this forum and I know their true stories. There is literally no reason for some of us having PPR and some of us still in the dark... :-[ :'( >:(
