Hi All, been reading the last few pages so decided to call CIC and yes our app too was sent to POS, hoping and praying that this goes through quick and no issues come about.

I just spoke with CIC Canada and they confirmed that our file was transferred to POS as well. I really hope this is going to be a good thing.

I just did check processing time on CIC and they finally updated the site so Kingston is now at 27 months and Port of Spain 20 months.....it was 25 for Kingston and 21 months for POS before.

Things just seem to be getting worst and worst for kingston, why are they more baclogged than any other caribbean island?

ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! THIS IS BS....WE SHOULD NOT BE WAITING THIS LONG AT ALL. IT DOESN'T TAKE OVER 2 YEARS TO PROCESS AN APPLICATION.

Yea I don't know, Jamaica so popular now, everyone wants to go get married with a jamaican I guess ! LOLOL a joke mi a mek !

But for real, If they have forwarded files from May 2013 to October 2013 to POS that means they are working on files before and they will jump to November 2013 ? Or even December 2013, because my file still in Kingston and we applied in December 2013. Or I am in a queue to go to Port of Spain also !! I don't know why they are not transparent about this!

Yes I am so serious I was so discouraged. + my friend just applied for his daughter. He wanted her to start school in here...well she will have to continue school because she wont reach before more than 2 years. That is so ridiculous.

I think your more to be in que to go POS. Seem like is bare farm worker and visitors visa Kingston working on. Cause farm workers leaving every month.

wonder if its easier to get Visitors visa if you have an american visa. If i am still here by december i might have to try for a canadian visitors visa.

I don't think you can apply for a visitor visa while you are in a process for permanent resident...not sure...

I know that I have only heard of 1 person getting through while doing a PR app since the past 2 years I've been on here... but I guess you still never know.
